Oribe’s line has SO many freaking products that claim to do the exact same thing. It just seems really redundant and confusing. My fine bleached platinum hair HATED the Royal Blowout spray. One or 2 sprays was enough to give me a dreadful outcome. Unacceptable for that price point. It was ok on my Asian gf who already has thick, smooth healthy hair. The Invisible defense spray seems better but I only tried one spray today. I just wish they would clarify the differences between their products to make the line less intimidating and confusing for non-hairstylists.
This line is my fav. I use the oil. It’s pricey but lasts me foreverrrr lol. I’m still on the first bottle and I’ve had it for like 1.5 years or longer now 🤣

Thank you so much for this information. I ended up purchasing this exact hair care line on June 30th. I been using it for a month now and have noticed that I stopped losing hair. I would lose tons of hair when washing or brushing it. I have extremely fine hair and it has worked wonders!
usually after any keratin treatment, the hair starts to lose and full and as you use this for 4 years then you have a quiet experience. My question is, did you notice any hair loss or cutting؟؟
I don’t wash my hair everyday. I wash my hair about 2x per week. I would say maybe try the Specifique which has shampoos designed to be used daily. The Specifique shampoo does say for oily roots bc people who are oily typically wash their hair daily but you could use the Elixir conditioner or mask to give you that shine. Otherwise if you’re really interested in trying the Elixir shampoo, try getting a travel size to see how you like it.
I’m honestly not 100% sure but I will say in all the classes I’ve attended they never mentioned it having protein. Their repair lines do mention protein which is why I’m going to lean toward no on this one not having it. It does contain ceramides which acts as the strengthening ingredient.
Hi!! So I’m not 100% what the peptide chain is made up of because K18 doesn’t explain. They refer to it as their “K18 peptide” (probably for trademark/ scientific protection reasons). But it doesn’t contain protein like normal hair products. K18 penetrates at such a deep level, the keratin molecule is too big and wouldn’t penetrate that deeply into the hair shaft. That’s why protein usually sits on top of the hair to protect the outter layer vs inner layer. When I used it for several months, my hair never felt heavy and I never got build up. Hope this helps!!
I have dry frizzy colored chemically damaged hair Pl suggest that which products of this brand will be best... started genesis for hair growth but looking for those solutions 😊
I have naturally grey hair, that is long and wavy/curly. I have experienced thinning, probably due to menopause. I live in a high humidity area, so fly aways & frizz are an issue. I only need to shampoo once a week and mostly let it air dry, but do blow dry it straight on occasion. I would really appreciate any recommendations for care and styling products. Hi! I would say if frizz is your main concern, I’d go with the Discipline line or the Discipline Oleo line (I use oleo shampoo, mask and oil). If your hair is thinning due to menopause, you could also use the serum from the Genesis line. That helps with things like menopause, post pregnancy, Covid hair etc.
I know 😩 it’s SO good!!! There’s no other shampoo similar to it, so I would choose one based on what your hair needs. Some of my favorites are Chronologiste, Chroma, and Nutritive.
It’s mainly targeted for people with damaged hair but it will make your hair soft. I would say if you’re looking for frizz control or softness go with Moisture and Control or brilliance and shine.
It’s a hairspray so you could definitely use it on wet hair. It may not give you the volume you’re looking for but if you try it, flip your hair over and spray it in upside down (that’ll help create more volume).

Hi! I would say the Killer line.. it’s for curly hair.. there’s several curl enhancing products in various textures depending on if you prefer cream or lotion or if you air dry your hair versus diffuse it.
@@JeniferLarson I don't have have thick hair. They are between medium and fine thickness and medium density. I prefer air drying. Which kevin Murphy one would work best for me? Also, do you think curl creams from curlsmith are a good option to achieve the look in the video?
This line is designed to make your hair feel thicker… think of it like a plumper almost… Alchemy is designed to strengthen the hair and prevent it from falling out.
Also can this pre shampoo treatment remove oils etc as I use a lot of leave ins ? As I was thinking will it be effective if I don’t remove the build up first for it to be effective. Am I making any sense hun x
I love this line hun but I don’t think all the products are necessary. I use the Kérastase pre shampoo the main product.I use it with my other Kérastase lines. Just put it on before I shampoo and voila! X
@@sayantaniist I would say go with Oribe! I would say pick up the Color wow dream coat too… that is one of my holy grails for frizz! I use it every time I wash my hair.
Hi. I’ve just started using Kérastase and I’m well impressed. I’ve just got the extensionist serum as I can’t find the initialise serum anywhere! Can you tell me if the extioniste serum has taken place of the initialise now and if so is it the same kind of serum please?
Hi! They still have the Initialiste serum… on the Kerastase website it’s listed under the Densifique line I believe… or you can type it in the search bar and it’ll pop up.
Can i use it to wash my hair regularly i have used many clarifying and detox shampoos but they make my hair feel waxy and even more oilier ! do you think this will actually work?
I didn’t experience that at all. My one esthetician uses it too and she didn’t experience a purge. She said it cleared up her skin quicker than she expected.

@@JeniferLarson I have thick hair, due to pomade and gel it’s dry n losing shine My barber uses maxi wash which k bought for once a week, I’m just trying to find a shampoo + conditioner for 1-2 times a week use with maxi wash Drugstore stores ones just make hair silky but I think it’s not working That’s why found Kevin Murphy line up Any other daily or 1-2 x week shampoo you recommend My hair grow fast and thick hair
@pk.28 I really love Kerastase and Oribe! I have a ton of videos on both brands you can check out but if I had to choose one line from each I’d say Oribe Brilliance and Shine and Kerastase Elixir or Chronologiste.
Oh postpartum hair is wild! Hang in there… it takes about a year for your hair to sort itself out. And it’s common for your hair to permanently change after having a baby.
Was actually going to buy this product until i saw in the comments how keratin can damage the hair im searching for the best product that does no damage and fixes damaged hair im happy i did my research before buying
Your hair is made up of keratin so while you’re right it can damaged it but only when you overdue it. I use this treatment twice a year. Almost anything can damage your hair. When hair is damaged, people will reach for products with protein but if you over due the protein it can make your hair feel worse (dry, brittle, etc). It’s all about using products correctly.
Yeah i didnt know this until now i think i found the correct item for my hair i will give it a try expensive to but but its marked as 2024 best product to fixing hair so i will try it if i find it is not good wont buy it again and il look into natural items for repairing the hair they will be something out there to repair and get hair growing its just trying and finding things thanks for letting me know keratin can damage the hair i never knew that until now il be more careful in future @JeniferLarson
Thank you i hipe i do too ive been searching for years my hair has been damage for 5 years and its been hard trying to find the correct one for my hair ive heard alot about this product ive bought i will give it a try if it dont help i will then find a natural herb for my hair i always reseach before i buy incase its the wrong product for my hair hopfully i can get mt hair revived and growing healthy again nothing worse than having coarse hair and damage that seems to never get better even hair dressers doesn't work I've cut my hair shorter and I still have the same problem everything it grows the split ends just get bigger I have new hair growth fly aways that drives me mad too but I've tried and spent so much money trying to find the best item I will try this if it dont work im not really sure what will but maybe something natural might help the problem and thank you again @JeniferLarson
I would look into getting a shampoo and conditioner from Kerastase. It’s lightweight but will help with the damage. Also I would HIGHLY recommend getting K18. It’ll begin to heal your hair much quicker than any other product. You’ll notice results after 1 use. But keep in mind, damaged hair takes time to repair. Make sure you keep up with haircuts too.
