On this channel I show you a variety of crafting projects. I may occasionally add in a painting project as well. I’ll show you lots of things to make, whether you craft purely for fun or sell your items.
Hi Dawn sorry to hear that Graham took a turn for the worse, do hope he picks up again very soon. My husband was rushed into hospital this time last week but thankfully I brought him home Sunday where he is still recovering. Look after yourself too xx
Thank you. Yes he does. I’ve just got back from seeing him. I gave him the card and it made him smile. I came home early because he has gone for a scan to see if the infection is going down, and that can take a while, so I’ll go back this evening. Thank you for your lovely comment.
Interesting kit with some lovely items inside, I agree that a lot of the stamps remind me of animals. Sorry for lack of comments recently but I was on holiday. Hope you're both doing ok.
Oh NO! just the added stress you didn’t need at the moment, I hope it’s sorted out quickly for you so you can get back to normal, I doubt your subscribers will go anywhere :) I know for one I won’t be leaving. Please take care and come back when you can Aoife xx
Ah, bless you Aoife. That was kind. Yes. It’s almost finished. Just a little bit more to do tomorrow morning. The problem was caused when a delivery van reversed too quickly and went straight through our front door. It broke the casing, which meant that for one day we couldn’t close the door. That part was fixed so we could lock the door at night, but when they delivered the hoist for Graham, they broke the window. We have a new one today, but they need to come back tomorrow to put a permanent seal around the window. Honestly. It was like a scene from a carry on movie. I should have the final part of the box on the channel by the end of the weekend. Thank you for your support. I appreciate it. Xx
I am glad I am not the only one who loses things under the box 😂 what a great idea thank you for sharing. Very clever. The paper definitely looks like water. I agree that is a fabulous sentiment
I LOVE this idea, those trays are a genuis idea❤ it really isnt too early to start for 'C' word as iys only 6 months away, and the past 6 have flown by! Aoife x
These will be absolutely brilliant for my Xmas cards this year. I give gift cards, they’re just easier lol but this is just a lovely way to display them. Thank you for the lovely project, as always Dawn you and Graham are in my prayers Aoife x
Thank you so much for that. I’m pleased that you like it. I make hundreds of these and give them as gift sets in a box. They are always so well received. Thank too for the prayer. It’s much appreciated.
Paula must have rebranded, she was Bright Rosa and she wqs rhe designer of either the second or 3rd paper craft society box :) I have a few bright rosa card making dies too. I like this box. I stopped after 36 think. :)
Thank you for that, Aoife. That’s helpful to know. I too have a few bright Rosa dies so I’ll have a look and see how they compare with this set. I had also unsubscribed from Papercraft society but decided to give them another go. The next box looks fun as well. Have a great weekend.
Lovely tutorial as always Dawn :) I have a similar box die that I couldn’t get on with, now I know how to turn it into an envelope! Thank you, I appreciate it. I will make a video and tag you :) Your card was beautiful, this set is so versatile. Aoife x
Thank you Aoife. I’m so pleased that you like it. I would love to see your video too. And yes, it is a versatile set. In fact after finishing the video, I had another idea for the back of the envelope. You could cut two of the box dies and cut all of the flaps and tabs off of one of them so that you are left with a large rectangle and stick that onto the tabs of the first piece.
@CraftyDawn right! Now that makes sense as to why mine wouldn't work out for me...I'm such an idiot lol ya know when you look at trying to figure something out for hours and your brain just switches off?? Dear lord 🤣
@@AOIFE-MADE-A oh yes. That’s happened to me too. I’ve sometimes stared at something trying to figure it out for hours and then it just comes in a second. Oh well, that’s real crafting I guess.
Great haul, I use magnetic sheets as I cannot stand the sticky tape and battling to get the dies off it! If your willing to put your email on here then I can send you some photos of my storage system-its not hi tech!
Thank you Michele. I’m going to do my first video from this haul tomorrow, and I’ll add my email address in the contact me section at the bottom of the description box. I’d love to see your storage system.
I do love crafters companion. I have the original electric, that I don’t use nearly enough as I should as the plates warp to quickly. Wish I’d waited and got this one tbh as the plates seem better quality. I like that it’s also got usb ports at the back, a foiling quill and phone could charge at the same time :) ❤
Indeed. It is a great machine. A tip for keeping the plates from warping. Turn them over so that the warped side is facing upwards and run them through your machine a few times. It will encourage them to go flatter. I hope that helps. 🧡
@@CraftyDawn I will certainly give it a go :) I do love c c. Sara is brilliant. I have quite a few of her dies and I really do need to learn to use the foiling machine. It might be a thought for starting my channel, learning to use what I have, instead of adding to my room
I love the coloured bling! I have so much clear and never use them, now I can! Thank you for a lovely card idea again Dawn, I’m looking forward to your next one 😌 x Aoife x
That was such a simple tutorial but it looks so stunning when finished 🥰 I'll be giving this a go and making your bag with matching cardstock to make a gift set :)
These are excellent! I can’t wait for the box, that would make a great gift 🎁 Thank you for sharing Dawn, glad Graham is on the road to recovery x sending my best wishes to you both x Aoife x
Thank you Michele. That’s no problem. I’ll do the greeting card bag and the mini handbag in the same tutorial. The greeting card bag is super quick to make.
Hi Dawn ❤ you’ve been super busy, those projects are all gorgeous. How about a series making ALL of them. I concur with the handbag, it’s super cute but I love those gift boxes, I can never have enough. Glad Graham is in somewhat of a routine and is home with you now, I hope he continues to get better. Sending lots of love your way Aoife xx
Thank you Michele. I had a confirmation today that the correct bed will be delivered sometime tomorrow so Graham will be home either tomorrow afternoon or Thursday evening. I hope.
This was brilliant Dawn, yes please do show your gorgeous sunset in the making. I loved this silhouette, I never thought if doing that! I've a city scape stamp I've never used and this is a great idea for a new year's across the miles card! Im so sorry to hear about Graham, but silver linings..you get craft space. I do hope he can come home to you soon though, it must be a terrible worry not having him home. Thank you though for taking the time to craft, I do really appreciate it. Aoife x
Aah thank you Aoife. Yes, I’d be happy to do a sunset tutorial. And thank you for mentioning Graham. He’s being well looked after so I’m not worried, but it will be good to have him home. 🌅
That’s very true for cards, there’s very few styles for men, for most occasions. I really enjoyed this, I loved your video on how to make the dome shape, it was genius. Congrats on your wedding anniversary for a few weeks. I can’t wait to see your city scape idea. I’ve a few of them in my stash…unused! Thank you again for a brilliant video Dawn, until next time, Aoife xx
You've no idea how much i need this box. Ive a birthday gift to 'wrap' and this will be PERFECT! THANK YOU DAWN! Ive just watched your latest video aswell its lovey to see you creating, i hope this finds you and graham well, sebding much love to you both, Aoife xx
Thank you so much Aoife. I’m glad the box was helpful. Graham had been in hospital for four weeks but he’ll hopefully be home either this week or next. He’ll be in a hospital bed in the living room but he may improve once he’s back home in a familiar setting.
@@CraftyDawn here's hoping he recovers quicker in his own home with you. I hope you're also doing OK, I'm sure you're so stressed not having him home.x
