One has to reflect on childhood and the joy we had just waking up to a new day and those days didn't require alcohol, drugs or any added substances to make the day better or to enjoy our friends. Avoid the "Adult Triggers" !
I have always loved Joe Walsh, from way back when. Amazing guy. This was a fantastic video that gave me goosebumps. He is so respectful of our culture and spirituality. ❤ Much respect for him.
Few eagle's fly the highest...kia kaha Joe Walsh. 'Don't you draw the queen of diamonds, boy She'll beat you if she's able Know the queen of hearts is always your best bet Well, it seems to me, some fine things Have been laid upon your table But you only want the things that you can't get'
It's difficult to explain the phenom called Joe Walsh. He is one of those artists that as an individual, I can't respect him enough and his creations are second to none. I think of the greats... Sinatra (not a fan, but) Hendrix, Mozart Ya know? The greats... and there in the lineup is Joe Walsh but I know he is a bit of a secondary star on the charts and like so many other artists I wonder why he doesn't get the admiration that I pour on him from the masses... BUT WAIT A MINUTE! Joe DOES get that admiration and EVERYBODY feels the same way I do about him and then you wonder why THAT is because it doesn't happen like that for the other underdogs.
Bless you Joe Walsh, I met you years ago in Orakei, you were on your journey what you are talking about in this clip. I take my hat off to you Joe continuing your journey. Kia kaha e hoa. ❤
Beautiful testimony. Sobriety is the release of bondage. Your Life is reborn and your True God destined life is revealed. Greatful for hearing his truth!
He Whaikorero tenei no nga ra o mua. Kei aia te Manawa o nehe ra. He tangata tuturu. He Rangatira Toa! His style of speechmaking is from ancient times. His is the Heart of the old times. A Man steadfast in his motivation & presence. A victorious leader! His humility and direct willingness for the best path forward: preparing and protecting the Tamariki! 🌊❤️🔥🌿❤️🔥🌊
Will be 40 years continuously sober from alcohol in April of this year (2024). Was fortunate to get sober with the loving help of AA in Toledo, OH. Coincidently, I was a freshman in 69/70 at Kent State University & used a fake ID to get into JBs, a local Kent bar. Joe was playing in the "house band" then called The Measles & soon quit to form The James Gang. Joe's little talk here comes straight from his heart, along with many other "leads" I've heard at AA meetings. Nowadays, there's many addiction treatments to choose from besides AA & they all offer a way up & out.
Thanks Joe, I am 29 years sober, it wasn’t as difficult to stop than I thought, when I knew I was not alone and there was help for my disease. And although it has been 29 years, I also know one slip is all it takes to return to the life of demons. After learning there is help, two things became my life ‘Alcohol is not your friend’ and ‘One day at a time’. Thanks Joe for sharing.
Major respect for Joe Walsh, to those who helped him, and those who are on the journey, substance-free. Although nowhere near the challenges that so many others have fallen into (mine was mild in comparison, but had become a very lazy nightly habit)...currently 29 months alcohol-free over here and loving how it feels.
What a inspiring person you are Joe. I just don't know why they gave you the 54 position on the 100 best guitarist of all time. For me you were better than that. Long live Joe Walsh!
@@leoormsby8244 I have never been a big fan of that song so it doesn't take much to improve upon it. I will admit it has one of the best lead guitar duos in Rock and Roll thanks to the genius of Walsh and Felder.
What was the deal with all those angry guys at the end of the video? Apparently they were hardcore addicts, pissed off at Joe for trying to force them into recovery.
