Does that die normally have another hole? Like did they just happen to skip machining the needed hole on your die and normally that die does have the extra hole?
Die is supposed to have the hole for the pin to drop into so I can repin and bend 180. I ended up machining the hole so I was able to finish the job I bought the die for. Without that hole you cannot bend 180
@@onefortheroad2291 everyone is an inexperienced idiot and dont know what were talking about. guess they deal with alot of people that dont know what theyre doing so they think everyone is the same way
A new subscriber here just for the cool name your welding company!!! Where are you located my friend? I am also a welder and I am in Pennsylvania...I am getting ready to start my own channel with the build of a 1928 Morgan /MG special supercharged Hillclimb race car. Great video. Keep up the great work.
@@tothwelding8329 Beautiful!! I went to USF in Tampa for my Master's and PhD in Chemical engineering. I lived on Siesta Key and am really sad that I sold my place when my mom got sick. I really want to move back down but I still have family up here. I miss Sunny Florida!!
Definitely alot of work. There's deals out there to be had. My iron worker I got for $150. It got me into a huge job. Gotta work to get your name out there. What I do I don't consider work
its a model 32 die. Aparently im not the only person who has had this same issue. Someone posted on facebook group about it but then took it down. They referenced my video is the reason why i seen it
Did you copy Cyrious's design on your floating head, or did they copy yours? LOL Also how did you get CandCNC to send you a new USB key? I've been trying to get them to send me the software for days. I bought a used table and it didn't come with the little PC. They keep telling me I have to buy a new PC.
i went online and have been looking at different designs or many years. This was my 3rd table build and built everything on my table from experience of my other tables. I dont care for the cyrious design and never copied anything they have because their tables are basicly a copy of a kit table thats been sold for many years. You have to buy a computer from them just like i did. You got screwed when you bought the table without the computer. Thier software is locked so you cant just download it also. If you have a table the table will pay for itself
Thanks for sharing! I considered that gun before I bought the everlast spool gun for the lightening it is good too and the spool won’t fall out if the cover is open…it has a reverse threaded nut on it. Also you can adjust the wfs on the gun on the fly! So far I like it!
I think every machine runs a little different but ive always found that the settings are close and as a personal preference we adjust. I have a friend in my shop and his settings are different from mine by the way he welds
@@tothwelding8329 just longer vids of you making stuff with the table. Art, gates, crazy ideas. I know you are busy with other things but longer vids would be cool. At least 10 minutes. Also how to vids wouldn’t hurt 👍🏿
@@haveyouevernoticed4741 good idea. I want to make longer videos but i am definitely busy and will try to get some more done. Its hard to video and get jobs done sometimes
New here trying to rap my head around the amount of money you have in equipment can’t figure how a new guy could start his business with no money maybe explain thanks
What I did was work for a few different companies to get experience from different people. Then I took my income tax money and bought a used welder and started welding in my back yard. If you're actually good you'll make a name for yourself fairly fast. I worked 10 to 12hrs a day and on weekends when needed. Found a storage place that had power and worked from there. People want a shop to go to not someone's house. Make money put it back into the shop. Better equipment the faster you'll get jobs done. If you only work 8hrs and that's it someone like me will always take your jobs. I answer calls whenever and will work Saturday and Sunday if needed. That's how I have what I have
I'm just finishing up welding school and I promise I will NOT be this guy when I look for a job. Humility is a rare virtue these days. Among the younger guys in my class this overconfidence seems to be a pervasive affliction.
It seems that everyone gets a big head when they can weld test plates. Real world is not the same as test plates. Theres many types of welding and i recommend a job shop to learn fab. Without it youre just another welder that can only weld
Not sure he can afford to hire such a accomplished welder. Cost to much to pay for that 'experience'(and paying to replace any materials he blessed with such high quality beads)
You are right. That's bout how it is now. Most of the young bucks I've seen lately couldn't even be called green horns. Show up saying they know how to weld and then come to find out they took shop in highschool for 1 semester and can't do basic math. Hell most of em can't read a tape measure...
Yes i have the shape library in sheetcam and i do use it on accasion. I have my laptop in my office where i can sit in the ac instead of standing in front of my table. I did get it to work as far as the oxy fuel cutting, but every time you ask a question on candcnc he will twist the question around and either avoid giving a correct answer or blame you for not doing something else that has nothing to do with the issue. I dont cut alot of the thicker metal and i do add overcut just change and add more on the next one till its right
I see your posts on the candcnc forum in regards to oxy cutting. I for the life of me won't even attempt to try it. For what we pay, this should work without thinking like a software engineer. Good luck.
Why don't you program your part directly in to sheet cam as the part is so simple. While you are at it, it would be nice of you to tell us what your plasma settings are for the chosen material. Thanks for sharing.🎉
You can't program or draw the part in cad directly in sheetcam. Sheetcam is for cam. Settings are book settings that are stored in sheetcam. Every material has its own setting
There is a shape library in the newer sheet cam if that is what you are referring to. However canacnc won't put the download up on their site. I don't want to loose the loaded tools from command cnc if I try and do it myself from Les.
While it made it do what it was supposed to do it really didn't fix the issue. By changing a rule it made it worse at the beginning and I haven't used that computer since because I'm not ready to waste metal cutting jobs. Small parts maybe but not cutting full sheets to find other issues. I'm going to wipe the hard drive and do a fresh install and see if it will really fix it. My reply from candcnc is he don't need to see no video because he can read the gcode and as long as the fix from Less works then this issue is resolved
@@tothwelding8329 I really do not remember to check the x y to zero in the job options way back when I set it up. Mine just goes to work zero and rapid clearance up on the z.
@@tjs_welding_and_fabrication Mine used to but one day it started doing this and ive tried everything to figure out why. I know alot of people will just start bothering tech support as soon as something happens. I atleast spent a week going through everything to make sure it wasnt something stupid. Tech support likes to twist your questions around and make you out to be a stupid one. Just like when i posted my question on thier site where it clearly says what kind of system i have and someone makes a comment about a 20yr old system and then tech support replies based off a 20yr old system which is completely different. I also just bought a new computer 10 months ago because i want up to date computer because its getting harder to get the older 32 bit computers
@tothwelding8329 I know what you mean. I complained about the torch hopping up and down on thick material. He kept telling me my z car was missing steps. 3 pages long od bs. Then someone posted a year later with the same issue. He told the fix. Slow down the dthc response time and the acceleration on all axis. I had to pull it out of him what the setting should be. His response was still twisted. He needs to retire cause his writing sucks with all the misspelled words you cannot even understand one sentence.
@@tjs_welding_and_fabrication Thats the same thing thats happend to me twice. Not everyone in this world is an idiot. I know they deal with them day in and day out but dont treat everyone like that. I still havent gotten an answer on why im not able to control my z axis while cutting using a oxy-flame config. The answer was you need an oxy-fuel config for it to work. I said thats what i was using and i got crickets. If i can build my own table, machine my own z axis, make my own scribe and do all the wiring and air lines and have a running table for years i think that im not an idiot. Stupid welder maybe but not an idiot
Thanks for the video... very timely as I'm getting ready to use my Parker for an aluminum project this week. So the Lincoln adapter is the "M6" size? It comes with the M8 right? also... since you weld pontoons, what are your settings for .100" Pontoon logs? I have two holes I need to work on and I'm going to practice on a piece this week with my Everlast 230i... thanks in advance!
I think so. I ordered extra tips for the one that came with it and the other one with tips too this way i had enough of both. I like both tips though because the bigger ones hold up to the heat if youre welding realy thick like half in plate
Thank you for the over view of your approach. I was gifted a 54" Viper. The deck shows need for some intervention because of rust and wear. Thanks to your video I know to pull the deck, and make most of the repairs from the inside.
