You know, I wouldn't think so much about this if I hadn't seen the rest of the "teasing the Lion at the [Portland] Oregon Zoo" videos. I'm afraid I'm voting on the side of the Lion on THIS one.
@bluemooonrising12 I have been asked not to do it. I imagine they could kick you out of the zoo if you really got them mad... But I do not know for sure.
@bluemooonrising12 Have Fun! (Just beware... Some of the zoo-keepers frown upon this sort of activity...even though it is totally natural, and the display was built exactly so we could interact with the animals!) ~=:-)
@bluemooonrising12 "NOOB" Means "Newbie" I totally made a newbie (amatuer) mistake in the filming of this... by thinking the camera would rotate the video, just like it does on still-shots. heliop made me laugh with the good-natured way the comment was made. ~=:-)
Hay All! I appreciate the comments! Let's remember to keep it fun. The purpose of the video is not to debate whether or not the Zoo is a Humane way to treat animals, or whether people should or should not consume certain food. I do not build The Zoos, nor am I an advocate for any cause related to animals (whether in or out of a cage). This video is simply about the funny antics of a lion and a Giant Rubber Duck. ...and Yup! I totally pulled a NOOB in the filming... But I captured a fun event:)
@xxTotallyTaylorxx Perhaps visiting a zoo is not for you. This is how animals will behave. I did not design the exhibit, and clearly those who did design it have this in mind. You think a rubber duck get a reaction, you should see what the lions do when small children are in front of the glass! The exhibit is well-done, and has won many awards. To view from your perspective, one could say puting the animals on display, but not allowing us to enjoy their delicious meat is cruel to humans.
