As most ShinoGiyu shippers say to prove it’s canon is that Shinobu said “isn’t the moon lovely?” To Giyu, which in Japan is another way of asking someone out. Now, Shinobu has also said this to the spider mother before, showing she only said how the moon was beautiful. The other thing is that when we looked into Gyomei’s thoughts of the other Hashira, he said Shinobu often talks to Giyu and Giyu seems to enjoy it. Showing Giyu enjoys Shinobu’s company, but not in a romantic way as it was never mentioned.
