I'm on a midline right now myself. I caught MRSA and it got into my bloodstream. Had to have surgery for a giant abscess and because of the length of antibiotics, I've got a midline. I'm really relieved to see how flexible those tubes are. I've been worried about breaking them inside my vein, but if they're that flexible, it's probably not going to happen.
I have the same disease. I currently have an infected port- going into surgery tomorrow. I am getting a temp line in, don’t no which. Thanks for the education!
When your heart rate is beating that fast does it beat hard and like make u feel uneasy like i have IST and take Metoprolol and Corlanor and when i dont take them my heart beats fast and hard and i feel uneasy

Tough luck! It was 2 years ago idk, I don't use this channel. I went through a period that I did heavy education on teas, essential oils, natural stuff to add on and use so I'm assuming it probably has to do with that.
I've had lymphocytic colitis for 13 years (diagnosed with biopsy) and the best thing that's ever helped me is the Carnivore diet. I'm not on any medication (other than Pepto bismal occasionally and gasX), and after two months or so I WAS POOPING SOLID!!! Like a normal person! Everyday for several months, but then I got way more lax, because I felt healthy even after eating non-carnivore things. But then... I started flaring again, because obviously the diet doesn't work if you don't stick to it. Lol So that's where I'm at now, trying to get healthy again. Good luck to you!
I too have begun the carnivore diet ( just over one month). Was doing well until I introduced egg yolk. Back to strict meat again. I'm not eating much fat now either to see if that helps after the egg flare up. How's your progress going?
@@claire3gen710 Oh man, well a lot has happened. I fell off the carnivore wagon during pregnancy BUT I stayed meat-based and I continue to reap benefits. My LC got better during pregnancy, and then I had a small flare up around 6 weeks PP, and then lately at 10 months postpartum my digestion has been absolutely beast mode! No issues whatsoever - I actually think it's because I eat after my baby sometimes and he eats dirt and all kinds of stuff, and I think we share all the same germs because I'm with him 24/7, so I think he has seeded my gut biome with better bacteria. Also he's breastfed and apparently in breast milk there's some kind of carbohydrate that is made specifically to help the good bacteria. So right now I can eat nearly anything with very limited gut issues. BUT I am actually trying to be stricter and more keto because I still have like 15 lbs of baby weight to lose. 🤷
My brother had sepsis too. He had a hand injury and they didn't stitch his hand right and it got infected. He took antibiotics but stopped then early. The infection went to his leg and they had to operate on his leg or else he would lose his leg. They put him on antibiotics which he stopped. Then I started noticing this red line going up his arm. It started at the wound and an hour later it was past his wrist. He got antibiotics again and he of course stopped them again. He went out one night with his girlfriend and collapsed down the front steps and was rushed to the hospital. His temp was 103, he was disoriented and tired. Turns out he was in septic shock and they said had he waited another week to come in he would of died. He was in the ICU and it took 2 months for the sepsis to go away, they were flooding him with antibiotics. He went to the ER in July and was out in September. Fortunately he survived. But he learned a valuable lesson and he said he would never go through this experience again and he wouldn't be messing with his health again either. Scared him shitless.
Thank you for this video. As someone who has severe health anxiety, sepsis is a massive fear of mine. Reading symptoms on the internet makes me convinced I have it, but seeing this video shows me what it really is like. This could save lives, I'm sorry you had to go through it ❤
Potassium, magnesium & calcium along with sufficient sodium levels or better known as electrolytes are essential for maintaining hydration. I’m not sure why u have a PICC nor do I know anything about ur medical history but u look very thin & your voice is horse & raspy which is also an indication that u are severely dehydrated. Start eating some foods that support hydration like bananas for potassium, add salted H2O to some coconut water & leafy greens for calcium & magnesium. Start slowly, rest, take it easy when u start to feel better & get well soon, hun.
Developed Sepsis from a mix between a tooth abscess and a severe kidney infection in August 2010 and it was the closest to death I've ever been. It took an intravenous antibiotic plus 4 oral antibiotic to treat it and the treating physician even warned me that these were no guarantee in saving my life. The pain is excruciating and the fevers are sustained between 104 and 105F even with taking fever reducers. I did nothing but cry hold ice bags to my face and drift in and out of consciousness for almost 2 weeks. I recall a period of intense sweating followed by shivering chills persistent vomiting that even progressed to hematemesis and there was also bleeding from my nose a severe persistent headache and I developed a rash covering my arms legs face and chest. At it's worst I begged to just die but somehow I managed to wake up one day with no fever and the pain was gone. Never again would I hesitate to seek medical attention if these early signs showed again. I was just lucky I noticed something was off and that my past history tells me if I spike a fever of 103 and it keeps rising in a short span of time, get to the hospital asap. This stuff is no joke at all
I am 56 years old. I have had LC for 23 years. Dozens of trips to the hospital for fluids. Kidney stones and gallbladder removed all related to dehydration. Tried many drugs over the years...none worked. Tough to love with everyday, but you do. Good luck to you!
I have dysautonomia, which basically means that the jobs my autonomic nervous system should be able to do correctly, can't. It can create blood pressure issues, temperature regulation issues (as well as a slew of other dysfunctions) but it can cause an extremely high heart rate from blood pooling in the legs which can frequently lead to blacking out or fainting. Getting extra fluids directly to the blood stream increases the blood volume which allows less pressure on the heart to need to be tachycardic!
How do they check for sepsis? I was in hospital with an ear infection this year and they did not take my urine or blood samples and I am extremely fatigued and tired and just uncomfortable.. feel like my heart is quite fast and short of breath for a few days now. I can throw up easy but only cause of my acid refluxx.. I have no fever symptoms, though I did the other morning but only lasted an hour or two..
I got sepsis and got my gallbladder remobed because of this, it was 17.04... i spend 10 whole days at the hospital, and now I'm sick 24/7, i don't remember the feeling of being healthy and full of energy. I can't go to work again and i feel really guilty but at the same time im so sick... I just want to be normal again.. I hope you are better now
@@pilgrimasans2813 Doctor said i got hard urology infection (Urosepsis) and I just feel like useless person. I'm always tired, can't do things as i want :( I went back to work 1 month after surgery, then i got sick at work again, so next 2 weeks i layed home and then again i got sick at work. It was like hell. I'm young and at the same time i feel like old woman.
@@michaelagoodin159i hope you recovered. if you ever think u have sepsis, never wait until it gets worse. go to the a&e or call ur emergency services. even if you feel really ill and people have told u its not sepsis get urgent medical care especially if you have a kidney infection.
Never ever let your symptoms go worse too. If you're getting a resting heart beat of 140bpm with a kidney infection/uti, that is not normal. I hope you've gotten help and that you're okay.

I hate doctors they chalk every thing up to mental issues when they either can't figure out what's wrong with you or don't want to help you because your poor (Medicade, Medicare) I have anxiety from CPTSD. Hystaria isn't even real it was just a fake illness men conjured to explain why women are so emotional & moody.
I had a grand mal when I was in third grade, and I was diagnosed with Epilepsy. I thought I grew out of it, but today I’m having a test to see if I didn’t grow out of Epilepsy. I’m glad I’m not the only one.
