Hey I need some help about this machine, I took out one head and the part where you place , where you introduce it has gone down, next to the machine so I cant put any head on because that part is blocked, how can I fix it ? Thank you
Don't know, because it may have been superceded with the Power Clipper. NB! Never allow any device charged with rechargeable battery for the charge to drop below about 40% if possible. - I think that the safe range may be about 40% to 80% unless you have an excellent charger that doesn't overcharge or undercharge a device.
Can I use these without the guard? I'm looking to use them to trim down as much hair as possible so I can finish the job of with a Braun foil shaver (as an alternative to shaving my head with a razor). Thanks.
I don't know why you want to know whether you can use it without a guard. I see. - With any cutter providing you don't press to heavily or if the blade's edges aren't too sharp it should be able to cut hair to usually about; 0.5 mm or 0.8 mm, but the comb should alleviate any cuts from the blades. - Before I forget, always lubricate the hair clipper before using, before I forget, which should alleviate ant cuts from the cutter. To-day, I contacted Braun UK and asked with my series 7, 790 cc could I reduce cutting my hair with a hair clipper from 0.8 mm to zero mm using my Braun Shaver, and Braun UK verified that I could. When I decide which hair clipper to buy, I shall use the hair clipper to reduce the hair to 0.8 mm and then use my Braun shaver to shave my head. Any persons wanting to reduce their hair's length below the length what they can achieve with clippers, even without guards, should ask their shaver manufacturer for the model shaver that they have can they achieve for example zero mm length or whichever length that they want.
+Fernando M. Craig (FMC) I was surprised too. Over 2 decades without any oil, grease, carbon brush replacement is hard to believe since this machine requires more maintenance than any clipper.
I just bought this clipper for work. I didn't know there were universal guards for it too! Thought you just switched out blades to walk up the cut. I am More familiar using guards to do men's cuts...so that is great info for me! I will look for them! XO
i just bought this clippers and on the first day of using them i was trying to take off the attatchment on the blade and both came off and i noticed the blade latch isnt sticking out anymore its flat....what do i do?
You probably figured it out by now, but if anyone else wants to know, it comes back out if you pull it out. It might take a little work maybe a flat head, but it does come back out and stay out.

+Meeko Those free blades that it comes with should do it. #1 blade on top and #000 on the sides. And maybe order an extra, the "0A" to blend those two blades.
About a year or two ago I invested in an Andis T-Outliner. I only use it shape up my beard but I need to find a good guard for it for a 1.5 inch trim. Any idea how I can do this? Can't find blade/attachment anywhere. I appreciate this video and sorry it's not about Oster. I might look into them as well. Hope to hear from you. I only use these for my beards.
Agreed about the how to attach the blades. I bought these for my wife, and she popped the blade off when she was trying to remove a clip. The spring loaded lever had depressed, so I had no idea the blade needed to seat in the lever. The instructions the oster 76 came with were suspect as hell. Thank you for that! These are some GREAT clippers!
The original kit is usually the Classic 76 and 1 or 2 detachable blades. Sellers of the Classic 76 often add the universal comb set (which does include a #5 comb) as a bundled item or it can be purchased separately.

I still use it regularly to give my 2 boys haircuts every 2-3 weeks. I've gone 30-40min without needing to re-charge. They still work well for me. The adjusting lever does occasionally get stuck. A quick back and forth wiggle usually frees it up.
