bro astrolabe specifically was more than just skred. i saw it in any deck with ghostly flicker. there was a tron version and a bant version, they were both running stonehorn dignitary to lock you out of combat
I saw Andrea say in a video where he was playing some form of this deck that he prefers Lembas over Ichor Wellspring because he thought scrying 1 + drawing 1 was better than drawing 2 (to say nothing of the lifegain dimension of Lembas). Any thoughts on that? Also this is really minor but why do decks change the artifact land / basic land ratio? Like why are there 2 ancient dens and 4 plains but 1 great furnace and 5 mountains? Is there actually a reason or does it not matter
Mardu synthesizer, it's just boros synth but with blade and omen of the dead, cleansing wildfire helps against tron and ramping. Better against mono blue bc of tithing blade
Oh hey! I just commented on your other video about Extract A Confession. It gets a little extra boost from being run in decks that use Troll of Khazad Dun, because a single instance of Swamp cycling gets you all the material you need in the graveyard to Collect Evidence. That's potentially a turn 2 edict that forces your opponent to sacrifice their biggest threat without targeting either the opponent or their creature.
Bayou Groff is such an interesting choice to me. Even though you ended up dropping it with your final thoughts, I appreciate your willingness to experiment with a cost reduction early threat. It gives me a new thing to consider for my own Gardens deck. If you're still trying Gardens, I've been spreading the gospel of Extract A Confession. It's a really cool new card to add to your removal arsenal. Great video, thanks for posting!
You mention percentage points a lot. Are you setting the tiers according to MTGO data or your own predicitons? Anyway, great video :) I'm surprised to see Mono-U Faeries in B-tier despite you being a moon-circuit hacker, but that really is the meta right now 😅
Data analytics are taken from the combined win percentages of both Paper Play Tournaments as well as MTGO Tournaments since the Metas are similar, but not directly reflective of each other as obviously certain things can affect deck selection on MTGO such as click rate for infinite combos (Ie: Altar Tron, Walls Combo). All data is taken directly from MTGdecks.net as it is the most accurate at gathering both MTGO and Paper Play results. I love Moon Circuit Hacker but unfortunately Mono Blue Faeries in the context of current meta placement is falling behind as this Meta is decisive based on hard removal rather than preventative removal such as counterspell and tempo removal such as Snap. It's a great deck just not in the current meta!
