Awesome. How has the mixer held up? I just got the same one, but I'm going to adapt it to go on my 6-ton mini ex instead.

The mixer works great. Haven't had any issues with it and makes medium size pours much easier. Will mix up a 6-8 bags easy. Definitely nice to get into areas we can't get or don't need a full truck.

Hi, can you tell me what size of wood you used for the frames. Thanks
@whilewereatit
@whilewereatit Год назад
Hi! We used standard 2x4 studs. It's framed much like any standard wall would be. Basically we built a room inside the container. The main goal here was to hold standard insulation, and make finishing easier when we got to the next phase - installing the solar equipment, AC, and network components.

Hi, what type of screws did you use for the new container floor? Im doing the same job but using 2x6 lumber. The problem is the screws I’m using wont go in. Ive only managed to screw in place 4 slabs of wood.

We used a wood to metal screw from TEKS. They are self tapping. We had to use the longer ones, at 2-3/4". If you have a Lowes near you they are item number 276838. (Teks #12 x 2-3/4-in Phillips-Drive Sheet Metal Screws). These are what are often used to hold 2x decking to trailers.

Why buying a container in the first place
@whilewereatit

We had them, so refurbishing them was cheaper than replacing them.

Note to self: if the container floor is in bad enough shape that I can't use it, get a new shipping container instead of replacing the floor.

Good call. The price was right on these, but it was a ton of work! Shipping container floors are very stout, until they rot through...
