Whoever said Shadow sucked as a character? hasn't played this game. Whoever said Shadow's Game sucks? (even though this game's stage's can cripple & difficulty ramp up at the worst times) Needs a *Good Long Stare* in a mirror. cuz it doesn't. 😐
Wait, so how does importing a save from the earlier builds give you access to unused features in the final one? Shouldn’t a save file only give you access to what’s normally available on a standard playthrough?
If I were to hazard a guess (as someone who has never looked at Unleashed's code before), since the prototype is like only two weeks prior to the final build, and as such, they share a lot of leftover assets, it's likely that the final game probably never fully removed the actusl data for these trial types. Since these two versions of the game most likely share a very similar, if not identical, save file system, one could easily assume that just having it unlocked in the prototype would mean the final game would be tricked into believing the player is supposed to have access to them, since the save data file is calling for access to the trial data that is still within the final game's files.
@@dionysusantaeus2937 Makes sense. In fact another game actually works like this, which is LocoRoco 2 in which you can actually backport a save file from the final game and it’ll work in the prototype build. But it still doesn’t really answer the question on how the game (Sonic Unleashed if you couldn’t tell) thinks you have unused features unlocked when a normal 100% doesn’t do that.. Usually it takes modifying a game save to unlock unused features..
@@ToonyTailslike they said, the proto is suuuuuper late so they probably didn't actually delete any of the cut content there and instead just redirect to what replaced it. I'm gonna assume it's literally as simple as the menu pulling from what valid stages you've played on that save file and seeing the proto stuff as perfectly legit since they're still there They wouldn't make huge sweeping changes over the course of a few weeks before launch
A lot of missions seem to use a modified hardmode layout, and it extends across the entire stage, these include missions in Dragon Road, Arid Sands, One in Cool Edge (crashes in the water running section, also crashes if you enable object viewer with debug which shows hard and very hard layouts, must be an object causing it) Also other Rooftop Run missions have the layout too. Also the Dragon Road mission "Kung fu speed has 3 unused goal rings, one being the end of act 1, and the other 2 are the ends of 2 other missions.
Thank you for the info, btw I was writing to u on the Gamebanana but will write here again. Is there any chance we can talk about all this in the Discord? My username in the discord "xinerus"
@@KartinX I do have a private server with a couple of other people who are also interested in unleashed content, would you like to join it? I've posted a lot of discoveries there too.
Thank you for the work you've been putting into Sonic Unleashed's TCRF page. Fun fact; on the side of a nearby building (the one with the first titan on it) there is this strange target-like object, from what I heard you were originally meant to throw the javelin at this target and swing across it as a pole, but of course it was not finished.
Doesn't look like it's layered properly, though I wonder if that could be easily fixed. Also, there's a piece for the health bar itself which allows it to be extended and have more health.
Actually... no. Sonic's body took too much cyber energy to the point of corruption... At that moment, he is trapped between realities... fortunately, Amy, Tails, and Knuckles already have a countermeasure...
Okay I only have one singular question so Sonic here gets corrupted by the funni red and his friends have to save him. Do his friends save him in a cut scene or do you actually get to play as them just checking. I don't think you get to play them at all but just in case I want to know so I can put this question to rest in my mind
So Sage really is just Eggman's AI, and a full-on antagonist? NGL that's kinda disappointing after all of the teasing for a bait & switch (unless there's more going on then it seems). That does raise the question of who the heck was the guiding voice.
Nope to both things. This is a scene that happens near the climax. Sonic manages to save Amy, Tails and Knuckles from Cyberspace and gets corrupted as a result. He gets cured, however, and with the aid of Sage defeats the final boss (only available in the hardest difficulty, if not, you only get a qte).
god i hope this means sonic will become the one in distress and his friends have to save *him* for once is he being, like, possessed? mmm, very very interesting.
Can't wait for Metal Sonic to help free sonic, then merge with him to defeat Sage, and finally transform into an organic hedgehog through sheer willpower to prevent Sonic from sacrificing his life to destroy Sage and Cyberspace once and for all. Then they play FNF.
