Did this because they removed a slight bit of guitar from the original in the UNI2 Mix, so I thought it would sound cool with them combined one after another. This works specially well because with how close both songs released their arrangements are extremely similar sounding. Also we finally get endings on the soundtrack which is very neat
No, I’d say this is actually a good use of lives, making every death count and put more and more pressure on you (Also the level kicks ass, my favorite level in the game) That one long-ass grind rail segment 😫
reminds me of subspace 1 from SSBB (which i wouldn't be suprised if it was the inspiration, since lake previously used that song as a placeholder for the third act of storm station in sonic ATS)
Some subtle gameplay and story integration: Usually, when you play as Float, you feel like shes more useful for platforming. I switched to her whenever the platforming started to get too tense, essentially relying on her in those moments. This ended up messing with my brain when you learn just who, or WHAT, Float is.
Just now realized how similar this theme is to Lunar Cannon from Freedom Planet 2, only the tone of this one is much more grim because of the antagonist having already seized the upper hand by a longshot... I could easily see that theme changing to this one if you weren't fast enough and the cannon actually managed to fire before you reached the end, thus achieving a similar result

Man this makes me wish for a third utopia shelter song when you reach the glitched out streets and building where the song slowly starts collapsing into a glitched distorted mess to make you concerned with what’s going on
I've been listening to both versions of this theme - the normal version and Heaven Park version - and trying to tell the difference that's mentioned in the pinned comment. Both versions sound the same. Can someone elaborate for me?
