Renna began cosplaying in early 2013. She strives for perfection in all she does, but only if it means having fun along the way. When she's not desperately working on her own costumes, she loves making tutorial videos for others.
I suppose! I’ve never needed to add fishing line to get the effect I’m looking for, but if you need something more structured that or horsehair braid would probably work!
@@RENNAgadeCosplay Oh your structure looks solid for sure! Just thinking of the weight of sleeves and whether organza would flatten over time (I’m talking years here). Thank you for the tutorial and it definitely prompted a follow.
@@kalka1l gotcha! that’s why I prefer organza to tulle. Organza is much more resilient. I have organza petticoats that have maintained their shape for many years!
If you know someone who has been sewing for a while and has aquired their machines/supplies from estate/thrift stores, talk to them. Most of us have 5+ rufflers and will gladly give some to you.
I love this idea. Just an FYI. I found out last week that I could use my serger to create ruffles at the same time as I am overlocking the seams. I’ve had it for a few years. Wish I would have known this sooner.
Hello! Our company is selling vibration cutting machine which is suitable for pvc foam board and other soft materials cutting. Our vibrate cutting machine also can save time and manpower. If you are interested in our products, I can introduce our vibration cutting machine to you.😀
The tip about working with the grain was very helpful. I watched this video 2 years ago when I started with Sintra and I'm finally making that project this week and remembered what you said about the direction. Thank you!
Thanks, Ive been working on a Boba Fett cosplay, messed up on adding in some black for damage on the dome of my helmet in the final painting stages, so this is perfect for me, and lets me keep the spray paint, and keep the black acrylic on the cheeks safe. Thanks so much, this saved me literally about 50-100 hours of work or masking, painting, and tons more. Also great for weathering my replacement blaster when I replace my cheap one when Im able to.
The thumbnail is of my Midna cosplay, which was already completed at the time of this video. So I demonstrated with the costume I was making at the time, which is a less complicated one. Kinda hard to take your “great job” seriously when you are calling one of my costumes garbage…
I’m making a mandalorian kit out of Sintra, and I’m so thankful this video exists. Answered pretty much everything I was pondering as I was also working with Sintra for the first time 🙏
This was definitely the instruction I was looking for before trying out foam PVC. Thank you! Now you've got me wondering about using it with a vacuum table. Just as an interesting aside, historical armorers working steel sheet into a hole like this call it 'dishing'. Not quite the same, but similar.
Check your local convention centers! Please! If anyone is in the slc area check the salt palace, I used to work there and they would love to just get rid of it. It's used for a lot of signs during conventions. We had 1mm through 12mm
Hey thanks for the video. Question...I'm looking to make a box project with pvc board that is semi-rigid. Do you have any recommendations for an adhesive for that type of connection? Thanks!
