you cannot make fun of someone for having studied Fashion Merchandising if your degree is in Women Studies... (also applies to Russian Literature, although the guy didn't make fun of her and he also studied an actual career: Biochemistry)

Does anyone in this thread KNOW who developed and designed these law schools? These schools only teach what is on the books. They don't teach the laws they use for their benefits. The judge has 2 books of law. The United States, and the UN. Right now, they are using laws under the UN to control everything.
Those films do not remind the me of the "potentially stark contrasts among elite white American cultures". They do make me think about government interventionism through policies that claim to help (largely but not limited to the democrats) and the injustices of our monetary system and its consequences. To turn those causal effects (or evade) into a case for group identity politics is moral bankruptcy.
She is so impressive!!! She’s probably 21 or 22 here. She’s accomplished so much. 4.0 gpa with a business degree at an excellent undergrad (it’s supposed to be UCLA). President of her sorority and a Greek sweetheart…meaning she was voted by the male chapter to be their representative and there are a lot of responsibilities that go with that. She got a 179 on her LSATs (nearly a perfect score) and has outstanding people skills. She was built to be a great lawyer.
It’s not superficial if it won the client’s case. Attorneys are expected to go over all information about a case with a fine tooth comb and the other attorney clearly didn’t based on the biased assumption the hair curling process was “superficial.”
I agree to some degree. It was a complete luck that murder case was solved with knowledge in beauty industry. But Elle has great social skills, logic and knowledge in law too. And tbf, she was only first year law student

I love Selma. She did a great job with this character. It was good to see the turnaround she made when Warner revealed his true self. I think she realized he ‘better dealed’ Elle, and would probably do the same to her, given the chance.
My Dad's best friend is a professor at Harvard Law School. I once asked him if someone with the credentials of Elle Woods could get in, including sending in a video of herself in a pool as part of the application. He laughed kindly and said, "Getting accepted there is not like Hollywood portrays it."
Interesting how Elle’s friends are such a contrast to Andie’s friends from ‘The Devil wears Prada’. Elle’s friends supported her even though they didn’t understand her motivations meanwhile Andie’s friends and boyfriend were toxic and unsupportive when her motivations changed.
Fact is that all the students are book smart but they have no eq And as they saw her appearence they did not act mature They thought of her stretypical That is all there are many academics who are brilliant in their work but they are stupid childreen if ask them about life And that fits even to some seniors
They're all jealous of her because she only has a bachelor's, which means she's younger than all of them and got into the same program without all that extra student debt lol.
There definitely is an element of jealousy here too. I'm pretty sure all of the other law students were jealous because Elle knew how to present herself to society. She was also polite, had good manners, and was a trusting friend to so many people. Not to mention her natural leadership and confidence.
It's all good and everything but...what I hate about movies is they show all is well in the end..while usually if someone picks at you like Vivian they just don't ever stop being that no matter how nice you are
No it's not, many of them never get a permanent job, and probably making 60k per year as postgrad 10 years after getting their degree. And I'm saying this after viewing almost every single biology phd LinkedIn profile in three top 30 universities, that's 1000 profiles I check.
Reese Witherspoon is an over valued actress. Alicia Silverstone would have done a much better job. Reese's face looks down syndrome. She is blonde, but she is not pretty.
