Thanks for this good video. Until now I was fear to place the jack under transmission(the pumkim) of my cj5 1977 thinking will damage the cap of trasmission. It driven me krazy front drum brakes pulling to a side and its better for checking brakes to stand all front wheels.
How about maintaince and checking torque? How often do you actually recomend to check? Can you jack up a corner, let all air out and check the torque while they are still on the vehical?
It really depends on your use. We'd recommend that you check them at least once a year, but if you are using your vehicle really hard, then we would recommend more often. You could torque on the vehicle, and as you say, make sure you take the vehicle weight off of it and empty the air. We usually do them off the vehicle, it makes it easier to check torque and you can then inspect the all those parts hidden behind the wheel.
This is a great upgrade however the fucking price is gouging on steroids...... $300 + for this housing is absolutely highway robbery. This shit pisses me off so bad. I am still going to buy one as i can easily afford it however there are many good pentastar owners out there where this upgrade would be a huuuuge stretch cost wise and do not deserve to be ripped off.
Yes! Here is the one that's designed for stock - 2" of lift. www.northridge4x4.com/part/disconnects/x02-05-002-apex-performance-autolynx-sway-bar-disconnects-8-00in-stroke
Okay so this is what it is video loved it extremely good informational but RU-vid apparently thinks your Jeep is an XJ Don't know why RU-vid thinks the video is related to what I'm asking looking for Jeep Cherokee XJ how to lift it up using a floor jack without damaging subframe that's all going to thumb your video up anyway
Can you combine a like 1” spacer with extended coil overs to help with pre load? We compress springs and collar them to get height but at the cost of spring performance… right, so if I feel I’m at my max height on the coil over but the rear is still higher can I just throw a 3/4”-1” spacer to make up the deference? Thanks
Subaru - The manufacturer told people to only use the factory oil filters because many replacement oil filter manufacturers used an old Ford filter adapted with modified threads and called it a Subaru OEM replacement. Problem was that those oil filters did not have the drain-back valve like the Subaru filters and the engine had similar issue as they aged. Why didn't Baxter put a surround lip around the perimeter of the oil filter like Subaru did to prevent spillage when replacing? Also why didn't Baxter provide a new oil dipstick with adjusted markings for a full engine if both the amount of oil and the definition of "full" changed?
You don't need the spill lip. Once you blow the system down, it is as clean or cleaner than replacing the OE cartridge filter. Baxter also makes these for the Subarus and they quite down that loud rattle on start-up.
Yes, models with the high flare like Rubicon and Mojave need 2.5" lift minimum. Standard flare models need 3" to 4" of lift. We installed a Rock Krawler suspension on that JT: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-tJuYl12hVr8.htmlsi=mzyIi0-phSVKNGRk The RK 3" kit: www.northridge4x4.com/part/3-3-5in-lifts/jt30px-rock-krawler-3in-pro-x-suspension-system
This jack is much smoother than a ratcheting farmer jack; much more control. Yes it is expensive but better tools always cost more. Only con I’ve seen is it can be sluggish in cold weather.
I had these the month they came out in Jan ‘21. I had them on that jeep for almost 3 years before it got a new owner. Great performance, great value, and very innovative with the design. They are so easy to use.
I've got a jeep wrangler 2013 model and I put Valvoline 5.20 oil and Lucas synthetic high mileage and nock on wood my 3.6 is doing 👌 great. And I live in Tennessee
Did you install the correct part? Baxter offers a few different adapters depending on the year of your Chrysler vehicle. This is the one that would fit your 2013 JK 3.6: www.northridge4x4.com/part/oil-filters/ms-101-bk-baxter-performance-cartridge-to-spin-on-oil-filter-adapter
Heard the oil on the 3.6 actually goes straight from the pump to the galleys, not the filter, making all of this pointless nonsense. Kind of believe that more than I believe the engineers being so oblivious
Awesome video. Now here is what I am trying to find out what my friend needs to boost the height of his Ford C-Max. The C-Max is just a tough over 63 inches. And I want to boost the body up to where at least my seat is raised up by an additional 18 inches. So how many spacer lifts would I need to give it that boost? And while this is about lifting a vehicle, but inside the vehicle, I would love to find out how much lift I would need using the spacer lifts.
