the songs dresdendolls made about mental health are so weirdly different to their other songs in a good way, like making them seem crazy as people who do have mental health issues think that they're crazy because they aren't like everyone else, i think the songs display that so perfectly

Omg live in a private show in this old school movie theater we have they show these kinda weird classics like big Lebowski, usual suspects, Donnie darko, clockwork orange.. etc of course they do the whole Rocky Horror dress up everything.. and rare occasions they can get very unique bands to come play these small shows .. it's maybe.. 50 people full.. I digress... Me and my one girlfriend who knew of Dresden dolls to see them 2nd row aisle in the middle.. be still my heart I could see the sweat on her skin she's so f*cking beautiful. They are just so passionate and wild and in this small space you didn't know to sit quietly or stand or scream or cry or mosh or bum rush them 😆😆 (teeny tiny "stage" in front of screen but they set up and played on the concrete floor in front so close to seats and everyone..) They talked with everyone in between songs just chill, came out front took photos (this is when I had actual camera with print photos kids 😂😂) signed my T-shirt I only hand wash.. 😍😍 Not even my favorite band but this show and they were epic live not even because of the size but their whole performance just was like the f*cking rapture no joke.. 🤷🏻♀️ my friend and live across the country from each other now and we'll send each other (scanned yes 😂) pics or songs at random and it's like the best drug flashback in the world 😆😆
