Hello sir, Thank you so much providing these productive videos. Today, I faced a challenge, and the solution I couldn't find elsewhere. That is How to Extract data from SAP Hana Cloud to Microsoft Fabric (cloud to cloud connectivity). Could you please help me here?
Love the copy paste option for pages and bookmarks in projects, this section of the update video is great. For the rest ... why even make a youtube video when all you do is show a black background slide with text ? - then you might aswell just make a youtube video with a link for the blog - which this almost already is :( ... thats a doover!
This video is crucial, I just came out of my exam scraping through with 739 (granted I’ve not used fabric 😅). I rewatched this last night, Christa’s tip on Microsoft Learn to not use search is so important, because time and that website are not on your side. Can you guys raise the idea of a search bar that works? 😂 all seriousness, this series helped a lot, one thing that needs to be added is external tools like tabular editor, dax studio, etc, there was a lot of questions on these in my test. Videos that were also helpful: Fabric content: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Bjk93hi21QM.htmlsi=LkEhpp9oWatrjwOT Self confidence: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-w-HYZv6HzAs.htmlsi=_Vu8xG6e52POalWr Fake it until you become it, bare with me on this one, just watch it: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Ks-_Mh1QhMc.htmlsi=tFwKuMwFZrBpVTXC
I am saddened to experience that it seems the tech fanatics are getting too much influence on how PBI is being developed nowadays - it would be better to stick to what Power BI is about at its core. This is getting more and more a tech frenzy
The previous versions of updates were a lot more useful. Without the video examples id be better off following another channel for updates. Bring back the old style of update please.
I am waiting for three updates, data entry visual, the fonts type editor, ultimate rotation of visuals and complete mobile designer seperate from desktop.
Sir, How can we build the JDBC/Pyodbc connection between Fabric Data warehouse and Fabric Notebook. I have been finding it since a long time, but un-successful
I like the improvements, but this 'video' is more a podcast. I would like to see more onscreen explanation of the features instead of explaining a static slide
It would be great to add a "DAX Notebook" integrated into the views (Report, model, Data, DAX query), it could be something similar to Jupyter Notebooks or RStudio
since this last update when I try to refresh a specific table/data source in Power BI desktop nothing happens when I click on refresh data on the specific table.... no error message or similar, just nothing happens and actually the software crashes.... when I click on the upper menu to refresh (all together) works, but I need it just for specific table and that does not work... I cannot update my report in desktop since two days.
I answer to mayself, it is not that nothing happes, it refreshes the table but no window open showing the progress, as usual or when you click in the upper refresh button to refresh all.... so it is a mistake of the desktop app because now the progress windowas does not open and you don't know whats happening even if it is refreshing in the background please fix :D
What's the point of making a youtube video when it's just an almost blank power point slide been narrated to us only. There should be a video demo showing the new update.
Must say the focus on other peoples work ie 3rd party visuals continues to place doubt on the future of power as a platform, you have started to develop the visuals but given your reliance on 3rd parties you are unlikely to encroach their space with advanced visuals, which in turn will limit the appeal of pbi to business when they start to realise the additional costs and risk of using third part components. You buy Microsoft because it works as a whole.
Small release this month. But I understand not every month can be big. Excited for July release where I hope to see more additions to pbi out of the box visuals like we saw in May.
We were getting some great updates to the visuals, and it's disappointing this month that we don't have updates to the standard visuals - unfortunately these updates focus a lot on paid visuals and a large part of them should be native to the tool
I completely disagree. I prefer the video to run in background to see the changes, there is way more detail available in the blog if you want to deep dive
I completely agree! The recent video updates are not the same as they used to be. I used to look forward to watching the Power BI update videos every month when they actually demonstrated the changes.
Totally agreed! I prefer a 2 hour video with a lot of samples and maybe links to a full video of testing and erroring. Please, help us love you again 😂
Enjoyed the session. The code was difficult to read but if you follow along with the link, you can view later. One suggestion, loose the vocal fry, it gets annoying after listening for a few minutes. Voice drops off at the end of sentences like a Kardashian rrrrrrrrrrr.
Congrats power bi developer & promoters at Microsoft for figuring out that people can organize their reports in a folder structure!!! An idea that was established at microsoft since Windows 95.
OK , in power bi releases there are things to be proud of for sure but there are others that should be introduced with an apology for not being there to begin with and taking long time to establish. One of those features is the support for folder structure in the Power BI service. I mean for god sake how many people have already asked for this for so long and its not something that should be called an "idea" specially when the folder structure is as old as windows 95! I think power BI developers and promoters in Microsoft should put their ego aside and learn something form their own history and own products and they dont have to look to far if they just look to SSRS which support folder structure since its creation and still ahead of power bi bysupporting conditional formatting on every freaking property which by the way a lot of people have been asking for for so long.
Angela, what is the title and author of the Star Schema book on Amazon you mentioned? (not the Kimball one - have it already). Thanks, in anticipation.
I have a SQL server stored procedure which updates, deletes and merges data into a table , how do I convert the stored procedure to pyspark job, is it possible to update a table in fabric using pyspark?, please make a video on this topic

This is the worse update video you have ever made. Why you keep removing demos? Demos for the new features are the purpose of doing a video! Why having someone just read exactly what’s on the blog post 🤦🏻♂️ I’m glad you are improving the native visuals. You should add more machine learning functionalities: improve forecast, make predictions with data, continue with visuals like key influencers etc.
I totally agree! We do not want to see powerpoint slides on functionality for the entire duration of the update. More live demos of the functionality please! I used to look forward to the update videos !
@@esmereldakrugel5790 oh come on not the manual but at least some edited snippets of what we're talking about. All they need is good video editor, guess it's not something unreachable for Microsoft
