Just back from the second night in Belfast. I cheered so loudly, I've wrecked my throat! Worth it. Every time Alfie Boe started singing, I cried like a weeun! It was phenomenal. Would have gladly sat through 2 showings.
I love Carrie, I have been a fan across the pond since I was 16 and I am 29 now! But sadly even as a huge fan, it has seemed like she has been a bit lazy in her training outside shows as she is a wealthy woman who can afford private training and classes, because her skills haven't really changed or improved since she was Eponine. Which IMO was her at her best vocally. I say all this as a theatre teacher, who was inspired by Carrie to become one as a teen! It felt like she really strained her voice due to lack of training during Heathers and to some extent Bad Cinderella. I hope she takes some dance classes and acting classes, (unfortunately Carrie has a habit of making nearly the same pained expression for every emotion aside from happiness) so we can have Calamity Jane the way she deserves to be portrayed. All this with the best intentions of course. I know Carrie has great talent, she just needs some training to brush up her few weak spots and become a true triple threat!
Love Carrie but, I got bored after 30 seconds so I had to stop listening, her voice is becoming so mediocre and just forgettable - zero emotion, nuance and depth to it. Needs some vocal training.
Lady Jane Grey : Yall seeing this shit? Katherine Howard : TOO MANY YEARS LOST IN HIS STORY- *singing along* Anne Boelyn : GUYS LOOK ITS ME These were people who were executed in Tower Of London
OK. I'm french, and I listen to this INCREDIBLE song three times a day for one week now. On instagram, on youtube, on deezer....... I LOVE YOUR AMAZING VIBE. Now I just hope to come and watch your show one day 😂
Not as good as Matthew James Thomas, by far! Ouch!! Notes are unequal, sometimes thin and weak as previously said. It's really hurting. Ryan Anderson gives all he can, he generally forces, but his technical capabilities are too limited. The only good thing about this is the pianist.
I absolutely loved this show. Brilliant cast! I went three times and would happily have watched it more! So much fun. Thank you! ❤️ I loved Imelda and Andy and the two young men who worked at the store!
The way I wanted a Prince of Egypt stage musical for so long and then....this happened. The staging, styling, and even the orchestration feel like an Easter play I would have been forced to participate in when I was a kid. Careful what you wish for, I guess.
Heathers, Addams family, War of the world, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang … none of these were failures. If you’re talking about Cinderella, that’s one production and I don’t think you can blame one actor for the failure of a show. In the same way you can’t credit one actor for the success of a show. It’s a group project and is largely down to writers, directors, producers…
