I'm interested in a 1979 Young Sun 35' that is for sale at the local marina. I've never sailed and am 2 months from retirement. I'd like a bluewater capable boat to explore the 40000 islands off the west coast of Canada and if that doesn't kill me perhaps the south pacific. What are your opinions of these boats?
Well. That was some fascinating viewing. Farage could most certainly be a statesman even if he is already, quintessentially speaking. The more I examine politics on both sides of the pond the more I wish America would get around to an NHS of sorts,(which is not a disaster like Obamacare) and Britain to form an Electoral College(read; with all due respect, screw you London, your rites and protections)/electing PM's via the people. Vive la Brexit.
Holy shit I didn't knew Farage was in an airplane crash. And not a small normal crash either, like holy shit that thing crashed upside down, his neck should have ended up in Birmingham, but alas, no one can barrage the Farage.
BK CheZ. The voting system is biased. UKIP got 4 million votes and one seat in parliament which means Farage got three times as many votes as the SNP but SNP got more than 50 seats. It's wrong.
Total respect for Nigel, but there nothing remarkable about him, all he does is speak his mind and the truth. Unlike the mainstream career politicians who are silenced by political correctness and put their own poxy careers before their electors.
i dont understand that the queen takes a stand, her england is under attack, not only from free mosliminvasion but also from the dictature from europe,,, looking at the history of england, all the regals stood up and fought!!!
You have to understand that she is not permitted the right of free speech as a monarch, so long as she is incumbent of her position as monarch. She is a figurehead who is required to tow the party line of the government, whilst also acting as a sort of hereditary ambassador between the UK and the world. You could argue that she is in many ways a rather ostentatious civil servant with celebrity status. I personally wish that she could (with due care) speak some of her mind where she felt it was pertinent, but the Civil War and following reforms essentially gagged the monarch as a halfway house towards republicanism. I doubt the monarch will be able to maintain their position and have freedom of speech, our government will make sure it is either one or the other. And I'm not interested in becoming a republic, if only for the wonders the Queen does for our tourism industry etc and she does do a lot of work improving foreign relations, more so than any one politician or civil servant.
Rob Dekker The Queen is apolitical. She isn't meant to have an opinion which is why people got mad when it was leaked she was pro-brexit. Queen is the only person in the country that can't vote as a birth right.
Ollie Barbor I heard, and I might me wrong here, that the queen/king has a way of completly shutting down parliament or the PM and assuming semi full control in the case the parliamemt or PM made a decision that would irreversibly harm the country or was against the common interests of the people. Is this correct?
virgilio moncada I have heard this also, I know she can stop a law from passing, but doing so she gives up the throne. I'm not sure if it's true or just a rumor.
Never mind Sir Nigel .... they gave Mandelson and Prescott a peerage. Nigel is someone who actually bloody deserves it .... he gave us our country back !
In my opinion, Farage is the most successful politician of our times. Having had the benefit of a public school education, he has the necessary oratory skills, (which can be most persuasive). Having had experience dealing and in business, he possesses the necessary people skills to get deals done. Twenty-six years in politics has honed those skills politically. Having interests outside of business and politics widens his knowledge and brings him into contact with the everyday person, their thoughts, ideas and concerns. He can mix in any company. And as a realistic, pragmatic and principled man (something that's sorely missing from our present political base), I think he possesses all the qualities of a head of government.
I also thoroughly enjoyed this superb Daily Telegraph video interview too, with the one and only Nigel Farage, our Nigel, who is a true patriotic British hero. He has dedicated the past twenty five years plus of his life fighting to take the UK back out from the clutches of the evil, corrupt EU who are determined to take over and destroy this small Island nation, along with all European member Countries. The EU is morphing into a totally undemocratic protectionist Supra state to be called "The United States of Europe, and we the British people who voted to take our Country back under total British control once again, want nothing more to do with these unelected foreign bureaucrats. We have been lied to by a succession of British Prime Ministers over the past 40 years plus, who have all told us that we were just entering into a simple trading arrangement between European Countries. We now know that it was anything but, and even now our current Prime Minister cannot be trusted to honour the democratic will of the 17.4 million people who voted to leave. Nigel after fighting to take back our Country for so many years, will now continue to fight on and hold Prime Minister Theresa May to account, to make sure she does not backslide and keep us locked inside this disgusting, failing EU corpse. The UK is their second biggest cash cow and they are determined to hang onto us, bleeding us dry to bail out their failing project and pay for the millions of invading third world immigrants that we do not want or need, who are systematically destroying Europe, milking the welfare systems dry of each nation they invade. Enough is enough, we want out and we want our borders, laws, territorial fishing waters, and our cash back, we want nothing more than to simply trade with other European nations. Freedom of movement must be stopped for all people other than the skilled workers we need, and even then the vacancies must be offered to British people first and foremost.
I live in australia so i won't be buying your narrowboat (sorry) but i love the detail you have gone to and the layout, you have done an exceptional job. Good luck with the sale by the way. cheers from Aus.
