Good morning po Bp. Ambo, Fr. Deo and Atty. Bong! This gospel is one of my many favorite Bible accounts of Jesus'! I always reglect on it every time a storm visits me. When I was a very young bank employee, as a neophyte, ada palagi and the greatest fear I had ever had was to stand as a bank's witness. On our way to the RTC, I would always invoked Jesus' help to spoke for me the truth of what I had to testify back then (I didn't have pa a mother daughter relationship with our BVM, though I knew her first via Our Mother of Perpetual Help devotion of my eldest sister). When during one outing our bank had, the small banca we were riding on malfunctioned and appeared to have a small hole on it and the bankero used a tabo to prevent water inside the motorized banca, I kept that scene repeated in my mind until we reached the shore. The storms, big and small that I grew up with inside my family and now, I am at peace and always still everytime an internal storm passes by. I also use the Visitation of our BVM to her cousin Elizabeth during difficulties naman. I recalled my former boss in Plantersbank told me, amidst challenges and rush works, she had seen me smiling and she even wrote it in my KRA. Grace under pressure. Jesus is always blessing us with His peace. The Serenity Prayer is also a favorite prayer and my nephew even requested it feim me because he saw it displayed in our house.😊 Thank you po as always! Good morning po Men of Light! It is so inspiring to listen to your every session that gives realization and awakenings! I love to plant seeds of every kind especially fruits or vegetables I eat . I encourage people to save the seeds of fruits or vegetables they eat by drying them up and wrap in an old newspaper or scratch paper then bring them when you travel by land. Please throw them on vacant lots you passed by. God will make them grow! God bless po!
Hello po, Bp. Ambo, Fr. Deo and Bro. Joey, 44:18 thank you once again for another advance reflection of the Sunday's gospel. I am very much anticipating and conscious on how the presiding priest gives reflection on the gospel even if I often hear that we go to Holy Mass not for the priest, not for the homily and others but of Jesus. But how can we spread the gospel or the good news if we don't have a better understanding of the message if the priest cannot give a good reflection? Your ministry is so helpful because I personally won't be disappointed because may dadalhin na ako on Sunday.

Oo nga po dapat maging involve kahit pa hindi churchworker. Dapat may malasakit kahit lay person lang. Like if one knows how the Holy Mass is prepared tapos may napansin ang isang layko na hindi pa nag check ang lay minister sa tabernacle, kasi napakuento na po ang lay minister. Pinansin po na parang wala pa yung key sa tabernacle baka hindi pa po sila nakapg check ng Hosts sa tabernacle. Sabi po na checked na, nung consecration saka nila napansin na hindi pa nga sila nakapag checked. Or yung madumi ang altar pag pinansin sasabihin may naka assigned, etc sana ay layko pakinggan din nila kasi po celebration yun at lahat must get involved at hindi basta lamang "MEMA". Minsan po kasi mga churchworkers sila lang yung may right na kumilos. Dapat nga po kung walang sueldo mas committed at enthusiastic kasi po pag salaried, ganon din po wala yung malasakit.

BIBLE TRIVIA: OTHER EUCHARISTIC PASSAGES IN THE GOSPELS Introduction: Whenever Jesus feeds the people, He follows the same format: “He TOOK bread and, GIVING THANKS, BROKE it, and GAVE it…” He did this during the Feeding of the 5,000 (Matthew 14:19), during the Last Supper (Matthew 26:26), in the appearance to the disciples in Emmaus (Lk. 24:30), among others. These are the four verbs of the Eucharist: taken gave thanks broken gave Other Eucharistic Passages in the Gospels _________________ The Multiplication of the Loaves Story (He took, blessed, broke, gave). In John 6, it is the prelude to the Bread of Life Discourse (a long discourse on the Eucharist). Mark 6:39-44 - Jesus gave orders to have them sit down in groups on the green grass. The people took their places in rows by hundreds and by fifties. Then, taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he said the blessing, broke the loaves, and gave them to [his] disciples to set before the people; he also divided the two fish among them all. When they had had their fill, he said to his disciples, “Gather the fragments left over, so that nothing will be wasted.” _________________ The Emmaus Story in Lk 24, where the breaking of the bread leads the to the moment of recognition of the Stranger as Christ Luke 24:28-32 - As they approached the village to which they were going, he gave the impression that he was going on farther. But they urged him, “Stay with us, for it is nearly evening and the day is almost over.” So, he went in to stay with them. And it happened that, while he was with them at table, he took bread, said the blessing, broke it, and gave it to them. With that their eyes were opened and they recognized him, but he vanished from their sight. Then they said to each other, “Were not our hearts burning [within us] while he spoke to us on the way and opened the scriptures to us?” _________________ The Breakfast by the Lake of Tiberias (Jn 21:1-19), where after being fed by the Risen Christ, Peter is asked to “feed” Jesus’ lambs. John 21:10-13 - Jesus said to them, “Bring some of the fish you just caught.” So, Simon Peter went over and dragged the net ashore full of one hundred fifty-three large fish. Even though there were so many, the net was not torn. Jesus said to them, “Come, have breakfast.” And none of the disciples dared to ask him, “Who are you?” because they realized it was the Lord. Jesus came over and took the bread and gave it to them, and in like manner the fish. John 21:15-19 - When they had finished breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon, son of John, do you love me more than these?” He said to him, “Yes, Lord, you know that I love you.” He said to him, “Feed my lambs.” He then said to him a second time, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?” He said to him, “Yes, Lord, you know that I love you.” He said to him, “Tend my sheep.” He said to him the third time, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?” Peter was distressed that he had said to him a third time, “Do you love me?” and he said to him, “Lord, you know everything; you know that I love you.” [Jesus] said to him, “Feed my sheep. Jesus came, although the doors were locked, and stood in their midst and said, “Peace be with you.” Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here and see my hands, and bring your hand and put it into my side, and do not be unbelieving, but believe.” Thomas answered and said to him, “My Lord and my God!” Jesus said to him, “Have you come to believe because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and have believed.” _________________ The Table Fellowship of Jesus with Tax-Collectors like Levi (Mk 2:16) and Zacchaeus (Lk 19) which lead to conversion. Luke 19:5-10 - When he reached the place, Jesus looked up and said to him, “Zacchaeus, come down quickly, for today I must stay at your house.” And he came down quickly and received him with joy. When they all saw this, they began to grumble, saying, “He has gone to stay at the house of a sinner.” But Zacchaeus stood there and said to the Lord, “Behold, half of my possessions, Lord, I shall give to the poor, and if I have extorted anything from anyone, I shall repay it four times over.” And Jesus said to him, “Today salvation has come to this house because this man too is a descendant of Abraham. While he was at table in his house, many tax collectors and sinners sat with Jesus and his disciples; for there were many who followed him. Some scribes who were Pharisees saw that he was eating with sinners and tax collectors and said to his disciples, “Why does he eat with tax collectors and sinners?” Jesus heard this and said to them [that], “Those who are well do not need a physician, but the sick do. I did not come to call the righteous but sinners.” _________________ Jesus asking for a drink from the Samaritan Woman in Jn 4. John 4:4ff - He had to pass through Samaria. So, he came to a town of Samaria called Sychar, near the plot of land that Jacob had given to his son Joseph. Jacob’s well was there. Jesus, tired from his journey, sat down there at the well. It was about noon. A woman of Samaria came to draw water. Jesus said to her, “Give me a drink.” His disciples had gone into the town to buy food. The Samaritan woman said to him, “How can you, a Jew, ask me, a Samaritan woman, for a drink?” Jesus answered and said to her, “If you knew the gift of God and who is saying to you, ‘Give me a drink,’ you would have asked him and he would have given you living water.” [The woman] said to him, “Sir, you do not even have a bucket and the well is deep; where then can you get this living water? Are you greater than our father Jacob, who gave us this well and drank from it himself with his children and his flocks?” Jesus answered and said to her, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again; but whoever drinks the water I shall give will never thirst; the water I shall give will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” The woman said to him, “Sir, give me this water, so that I may not be thirsty or have to keep coming here to draw water.”

I just listened to your discussion po. This afternoon po during the Holy Mass, Fr. Christian Dale E. Dakila, Priest Vicar of the Diocesan Shrine of St. Therese of the Child Jesus, UPLB, mentioned that May 8 was the actual Ascension of our Lord (40th day), but we celebrate it on Sunday, May 12, instead. The significant pamamaalam of Jesus so that He may send the Holy Spirit to the apostles and to us, to help us and guide us. The proclamation of God's Kingdom, for everything Jesus had said, came to fullfilment.
