I was on the return flight EDI-AMS with this bird on this day. While this flight was already delayed due to plane scheduling issues, the return flight got delayed much more because the ground crew forgot to take away a chock behind the nose wheel when pushing the aircraft from the gate. Nose wheels were replaced and checks had to be done. I feel for the cockpit&cabin crew, who undoubtedly planned to be home a little sooner than they were that day...
@@BigallsAviation Yeah the fact that a Geneva rotation got added to this bird's schedule didn't help either. With that it would have been just an hour's delay or so. But all this pushed it to a 3.5 hour delay or so in the end. I cannot complain too much as I qualified for EC261 in the end and Easyjet delivered on that quite promptly. That said, the given information, or rather the lack thereof after being sent back to EDI's terminal after the failed pushback was quite appalling.
At least the flight went in the end on the same day, but I do feel sorry for the crew. However, it is pretty appalling overall from Edinburgh Airport, who are usually not too bad for delays.
Thank you, Edinburgh Airport is going to be getting quieter as soon as all the seasonal summer flights leave. But before that, I am hoping to get to Glasgow Airport for the A380 and go on a flight soon as well, so a few things are planned. 😊
