At the end of the day it's still a single cylinder engine so it can't be that inefficient. You're essentially calling it a 1950s sedan with a 2 speed auto by thinking it would be that low. However, at full throttle the entire time using nitromethane it would be empty fast
I wanted to take a Honda 250r or 250 Quadracer rear swing arm and axle(the whole bit even wheels and tires) and do something like this. Looks like you already have to run it like a quad, might as well put on quad tires.
See if you can fit regular ATV wheels and tires to the back end. That would allow you to slide it around the corners easier. Awesome home engineering!!!
I have a 270hp meth injected zx10r that still wheelies at 300kmh and its alright, but a 1988 cr500 scared the shit out of me. I couldn't imagine a 700.
Ally wheels. Wider at the rear with flatter, car type tyres. Wider rear axle to counter balance the height. Steering dampers; two of. Without a differential you are fighting the physics of two powered wheels that are trying to push you in a straight line, as you go through a bend or corner. That's all so far, off the top of my head. On a happier note, GREAT VIDEO!!!
Awsome a Suicide trike .. Hats off for your effort. But it's Unstable in need of wider wheels..front & rear If you ride it with all its power be sure to fill out your life insurance policy and take up a good medical cover plan... Unless you welded gussets in the frame watch it don't snap the frame with the added stresses
Agreed lower . Wider wheel.. Suggestion you mite find wider triple clamps and lower forks from wrecked road bike & modify for fit . . add guests weld to strengthen the frame especially were bike swing arm connecting frame ...this is what the TPC & BVC trike conversion kits suggest in the US as failure to strengthen frame will eventually lead to frame snaps cause from extra stresses of trike Axel twisting the frame .. . But in general you have proven their is a cheap way to build a fast trike .. Well done now its only a matter of making some improvements to finish it off now . Your almost there .. Cheers from Aussie
I'd most probably at least put some air in the front tyre. It's always great to see somebody having so much fun. I think it was definitely the best motorcycle there.
if you were willing to go that extra step... swingarm. split it. jackshaft, maybe a diff on the pivot, so it can run cabins both sides. like the honda 600 cars were doing... independent swingarms, and if you delve into something like the "jetrike", its relatively easy to add a linkage so it will actually tilt yet centralise, rather than flop over. as it is, any "trike" conversion to a delta is a deathtrap... fun, but deadly. funny how people get this idea theyre more stable... forget those days as a toddler on a tricycle. or maybe they just remember learning to ride two wheels and falling off a lot?
