“Well Trump says so many things” - Katie’s reflexive reply to Trump’s dictatorial aspirations. Somehow she STILL doesn’t realize what we’re up against.
Heather as always makes her consistent ardent strides for democracy meaningful, fact-based, and vital to hear. It's too bad that media is no longer dedicated to democracy's future as well. How does it think it will fare under fascism, if even allowed to exist? All that's needed (and not 'get to know the bread basket', etc ad nauseam) is to just start reporting every day everything that Biden&Co is doing - every single day - to significantly improve not just US citizens' lives and the country's economy, but global lives as well. Just report this daily information to the public as a matter of fact, of reality, especially for those who are being told he's not doing anything. Biden is working constantly and getting things done as fervently and regularly as trump would go golfing. How media refuses to even just occasionally compare these two radically opposing administrations is nothing short of spineless, lazy, and unconscionable - just working the profits over informing the people and democracy be damned? It was so refreshing to see Heather counter Katie regarding her almost 'trick' question - and a truly sorry sight to watch Couric sit there making excuse after excuse for her industry. And then to wonder why thousands of people are so drawn to Heather's letters. 🙄
The massive consolidation of media into a handful of huge corporations might have an effect on media coverage of a President who is trying to return us to an investment paradigm (ie our tax dollars reinvested in our country and us for our benefit) versus an extractive paradigm (massive debt-funded tax cuts/handouts to massive corporations and the wealthy and common sense regulations that will reduce the insane profits of massive corporations - like Media. Just a thought about why there is so little coverage of the highly successful and popular programs and strategies of the Biden administration.
