My brother lived in Brunswick, I had never really seen these uprights on the trailers until he come up to visit me in Mo. Even then thought nothing of it being a thing. I guess it's just niche thing here and there. I was tought to load without anything except maybe a small pair of side bunks. However I was also tought that if your truck bed resembles a Jacuzzi ya probably in a hair deep. Anyway I found Big Dan and I couldn't believe the amount of uprights on trailer's. Not badmouthing at all, long as she's on the trailer...right and tight.👌👍
Thank you Dan for what you do! makes me smile! Just one question, why do you think that about 98% of the boats have the dudes for captians? Ladies, whats up with that? I have seen this elswhere and i am curious. Thanks!
Another thing/ gauge that needs to be added to a boat is a engine direction gauge for some people and some boats. We put a tilt trim gauge but no engine center gauge. Why??
I don't know who is the commentary person in this video but the woman driver comments are very impolite. My wife is a commercial driver and will drive circles around you going forward or backwards with a trailer.
So many people in this country shouldn't get within 100 miles of a boat boat -trailer or jet ski just stay home please folks it just wasn't meant for most of you 🙄
As I watch these it brings me back to a day when my buddy (slightly drunk) would be trying to dock his pontoon onto his lift. Winds would be pushing it everywhere so it ended up being full speed ahead. Few dents in the dock and pontoon later its on.
Must of these folks back the trailer in too far in then drive the boat on. Only the bow is touching and ass end swinging all around. Back the trailer up close to the dock and the fenders are almost under water, get off the boat and guide it on by hand. Yeah, you'll have to winch the last few feet, but boat will be centered and far less drama. Funny how everyone is 6 feet away from the dock trying to get their boat centered.
It seems 95 percent of the problem of getting these boats square on a trailer would be solved with four tight, well placed guide-ons and better placed bunks or skids. Especially on longer or wider boats, with a trailer well submerged, the owners have zero idea where the trailer is in relation to the boat and vice versa. Beyond that, it seems ludicrous to trailer larger boats. Pick a body of water and stick to it - moor or dock your boat there. The things that can go wrong with trailering and the extra wear and tear on a large expensive boat don't seem worth it. And I haven't even gotten to the constant idiocy of boat launch action.
My boat ramp has a perpetual cross wind. Best thing i ever did was ditch those vertical guide poles and put those side guides that look like carpeted bunks. Go on each side and stick out the water enough.
Someone could make some money teaching new boat owners how to backup, launch, and trailer their new boat. Its such a stressful thing to deal with your first through 20th time. Charge like $300. Take em out on a Tuesday Wednesday or Thursday mid day and practice for a few hours. If you could book only two people per those three days that would be over $7,000 per month.
it makes me laugh how they get mad at you for filming them failing to properly trailer their boats. leaving boats in gear with nobody at the helm is crazy to me. I may be in the minority but i turn my boat off get in the water and pull it to the trailer with the tie off rope.
The guy who fell down😂 what a little girl man. That fall was nothing and he acted all hurt. Spoiled brat. MEN DONT HURT.rich men do by the looks of it 😂😂😂
