Unbelievable, timeless interpretation of an iconic song. Thank you Robert for emphasizing his creativity, humor, and complexity as a human. Skip would be playing air drums if he heard this.
OK, listen to this song and tell me that Robert never walked out to the crossroads and ... I mean, if ya can't see him on a warm, full moon lit October night dancing out in an open field, surrounded by unicorns and pixies, rything blond, crimson and raven black haired enchantresses, naked under their long black capes... I'll, well I dunno, but I will. Is it just ME ?? !!
Not many know Robert Plant has done this cover.... Thanks to the "Sixty-Six To Timbuktu" compilation, this one and many other rare tracks are available on a great double CD. I love it when Plant covers such joyful 60's tunes, like with The Honeydrippers. A pity he never did more under that name.
