The corals here are not the best, probably because of the sandy bottom. This dive site is very easy, there won’t be any big currents in the bay, and you may see sunfish. I haven't seen it yet.
@@rachr1900 We went to Diamond Beach first, but the tide was not suitable and we didn’t go down the cliff, may be next time. It looks like the way down the cliff will be much easier. I went down to Atuh Beach on the other side, which is also a very fun place. Except for being a little tired when going up. it was very esay.
The way down the cliff is very safe. There are handrails. Walk slower, but you will be a little tired. The swells at the beach are very strong and going into the sea is a very dangerous activity.
Wasn’t the HTMS Thonburi raised soon afterwards? It remained in service until 1959. Part of the ship was preserved and is now a memorial at the Royal Thai Naval Academy. I don’t know what ship that is, but I don’t think it is the Thonburi.
They salvaged alot of the wreck, and took large parts of the superstructjre and turret A back to the surface. Thags on display at the RTN accademy in samut prakan. Her sister ship htms sri ayuthaya remained in service, but was scrapped after the manhattan rebelion
@@yelocalwierdo2440 That wasn’t from a wreck. Thonburi was raised soon after it sank. She remained in the navy until 1959. That was when those parts of the ship were preserved and turned into a memorial. Unless the wreck shown here is wreckage that came off the ship when it was raised, that isn’t Thonburi.
