I’m waiting now, no job, mother with cancer, daughter moved to live with dad, only 11, weeks separated due to his abuse and my alcohol addiction, daughter was cutting herself and attempted suicide at yes, age 11. I’m struggling with depression and now drew closer to god, praying daily and learning about his scriptures and plans. I know now I was not cursed but am being groomed for something greater, to serve God❤

This is a wonderful, encouraging message. Sadly, it is a lie. The problem can be summarized by the following two quotes from the video: "Knowing that in God's eyes you are already amazing" (1:58). "Peace be with you" (2:38). It isn't enough to know that Jesus Christ died for sinners. You must repent from your wickedness (Luke 3:3) and your own self-righteousness (Heb 6:1). You must trust that God's sacrifice of His son is the only basis for your salvation (John 6:35), because you are NOT already amazing, but sinful and fallen (Jeremiah 17:9; Romans 3:9-18; Romans 8:7-8). Because of your situation, you are actually destined to receive the wrath of God in hell (Ephesians 2:3). If you confess your sins (1 John 1:9), and trust that Christ was the sinless sacrifice that can provide the substitute righteousness you need (2 Corinthians 5:21, also read Isaiah 53 which explains this), then you will be saved. Do not trust in men who lie, who tell you exactly what you want to hear (2 Timothy 4:3), but not the truth that can save you. God's Word is the only thing you can trust, not in preachers or prophets or "men of God." Jeremiah 6:13-14: "prophets and priests alike, all practice deceit. They dress the wound of my people superficially, saying "peace, peace!" But there is no peace.

We may feel sometimes God has cursed us because we have done something wrong, or simply because God doesn’t like us no matter how hard we work to do everything right. But see that God gives us His commands because He knows that the consequences of our disobedience hurt us. He doesn’t want us to fall. He wants us to thrive. That is why you find this promise in His Word: “Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of other people, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you” (Deuteronomy 31:6) And Jesus also says, 28-30 “Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me-watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.” (Matthew 11:28-30, MSG). I have learned that life is difficult even with faith in God, but it is impossible without Him. Hello @elitemanmarvelfan8226, You made a good point. We all face two main challenges concerning relationships (any kind of relationship): First, we can’t control other people’s heart. Second, we can't trust our own heart. In other words, why do we like the people we like? Also, why not always doesn't the person we like, like us back? These will always be hard questions to answer. And that’s precisely why you should LOVE THE PERSON YOU. That’s not a selfish statement or a declaration that you are perfect already. But when you learn to love yourself, you will find out what you need to improve and what you need to keep within your identity and mindset. With grace, love and patience, teach people to like you as you are. Pay more attention on those who are seeking you already. You might end up helping your heart to be satisfied and happy with those who already like you. Thanks for reaching out again!
