I'm a creative person but the work required to produce animation like that would drive me bonkers. I just don't have the patience. I'll stick with writing, thank you very much.
Films like this is why i love film , period. It is wonderdul to finally hear from the people responsible for it. Still waiting on my used DVD copy from ebay but id give anything to find a copy with the original concorde opening. Also awaiting a Lazerdisc copy i found for $10. Despite it being on amazon prime it just felt right to preserve it across many formats that i could find.
Is there a way to work with this old software and make things that look like this but using modern tech so you can go without having to wait weeks on each render?
Pétain ordered: no more retreats” Radically False! From March 3, 1916, after his illness, Petain will propose to his leader Generalissime Joffre a first plan for the evacuation of Verdun. Plan immediately rejected and in the face of Petain's bad theories that the front lines can no longer hold. Joffre will then order the rotation of all French Regiments and their supply with weapons, ammunition, food, medicines and others.... without interruption 24/7. This reinforcement due to Joffre, will not be enough and Petain will represent a second evacuation plan from Verdun at the end of March. This is why we can read in the Memoirs of Marshal Joffre "From the beginning of April, I was looking for a way to keep Petain away from the Battlefield of Verdun" Petain will be informed on April 19, 1916, of his replacement by General Robert Nivelle, from April 30, 1916, in the evening. Petain in Verdun in 1916, was a defeatist and capitulator. He remained so all his life

🤔 the Eagle ship looks larger than it should be relative to the Enterprise. An Eagle can only carry about a dozen people. If I recall the Enterprise has around 400.
@@modLlon it will miss the zetgiest that these old renders have, i still feel that all new media trying to look oldschool is missing some magic that i cant explain
In 1995, at work, I was using Softimage 3D on an SGI Indigo 2 Extreme workstation in the medical visualization field. But at home I used IFW (Imagine For Windows) because there was no way I could afford an SGI for personal use. 😆
I have been looking for an early CGI short animation since my childhood and so far I haven't found it. So, I'm wondering if anyone in the comments has seen it and/or has it: It's an action story where a group of knights with chess piece-looking helmets try to storm a castle with a wizard inside. The wizard summons a big, bug like monster with claws. The monster fights the knightas and decapitates them with its claws. The last shot is a knight raising his sword into the air and lightning striking it. If anyone has any info on this video, you would make my childhood extremely happy.
