At this time, my RU-vid painting videos are the only way that I teach what I’ve learned but I am looking into doing more of an in-depth training at some point. 😁
Well, if by education you mean, do I know art terminology like from an accredited university the answer is no I don’t know any of that at all but what I do know works very well and my Hope is to give people something that they can use themselves and do pretty much any painting and go anywhere with the basics that I’ve learned that I would like to pass on. Thank you so much for your feedback. Let me know if there’s anything else I can answer. I will do my best and happy painting to you.😁
Yes, I did have the image next to me as it was a lot going on, and I needed to refer to it in order to mix all the different tones to put them in their proper places to make the effect that this foil had.
@@cgm6434 yes you will be amazed at how easy this painting is believe it or not it’s almost like a coloring book. There’s hardly any blending and it’s just making a few values and putting some paint on a flat brush or an angle brush and filling in some shapes and that’s it for the most part. Happy painting my friend😁
Do you ever do animals??? One painting I keep asking people for a tutorial on is the ocean at night with that magical phosphorescent sparkle and glow...do you know what I mean? I can't remember what the glow is from
Yes, I have a few tutorials on animals. In fact it’s on one of my playlists and I would love to do an ocean at night scene for sure with that bioluminescence, which is from that glow you’re talking about😁
When did you put the background in with the blue and purple lines???? I would have love to seen this process and I’m a bit disappointed that it wasn’t included.
So it was just a dark background with some raw Umber and permanent black. It was just my lighting that day that made it seem like there were lines like you’re talking about but there were no actual lines. Sorry to disappoint.😁
But why wasn’t it shown and it looks like Umber with blue in between. Is it not? Like I would have love to see his you applied the raw umber diagonally
@@angelaclarke900 I see what you are saying and all I did was mix some raw umber with black for the background and went around the traceable and used it to darken places for shadow as I demonstrate in the tutorial. I hope this helps. Let me know if there’s anything else I can help with or answer and I will do my best. Happy painting😁
I’m using a glass palette that I bought on Amazon a few years ago it’s really awesome and it’s easy to clean with a razor knife however I use plastic wrap to put over it just so I don’t have to clean all the mess later….happy painting to you😁
Yes, Mars black will definitely work and as always, you don’t have to have the same exact color. I’m using just use what you have and it should turn out with your lights and shadows in the right places. Let me know if you have any more questions. I’ll be happy to answer and happy painting to you😁
I’ve been watching and painting from tutorials for over five years now. Your way of explaining in detail is the best out there. Please keep sharing your amazing talent and beautifully explained tutorials. Your #1 fan.
So I use a variety of different brands of brushes I like masters touch brand a lot both the paint and brushes and I use nylon brushes for more detail work and I like the natural bristles because they are rough and good for clouds fog and out of focus effects and really good for blending as well. I hope this helps. Let me know if I can help in any other way and happy painting to you.😁
@@TheAcrylicAsylumwithMikeFerris thanks for responding. Glad to know you use synthetic for details. Always heard natural is better but my VERY limited experience was different. I’m just starting with less than 10 paintings done. A couple are ok and the rest not so much. I’m learning a lot from your videos. I hope you keep doing them.
I was looking for an abstract pear painting in acrylic tutorial. For whatever reason YT recommended this one & now I'm pretty happy with green glass bottles😊 Thank you for this vid🌷
Absolutely I am glad to hear that this lesson found you well and if you have any questions about anything, let me know and I’ll do my best and happy painting to you.😁

Thanks for your question and feedback. So it was basically the background color to knock back some of that dark shadow color that was in the glass. I hope that helps. Let me know if I can try to help some more and happy painting to you.😁
