@@HansRijfkogel Thanks for replying. I really appreciate it. I’ll be in KL in just over 2 weeks so I want to stock up as cigar prices in Australia are beyond stupid. Do you have a rough idea of how much AF’s are or other decent quality Dominican/Nicaraguan brands are. I find Cubans to be way overpriced.
@@JM-rv3uo You can find some AF in the Dimensi shop. Otherwise, go for an Oliva Serie V or Serie V Melanio. Liga Privada and Undercrown are also reasonably priced in KL. Undercrown starts from USD 120 for a box of 12, and Oliva starts from USD 200 for a box of 20 cigars. You are right about Cuban cigars.
Yes, you can buy cigars in KL and bring them back to Singapore, but you will have to declare the cigars to customs when you arrive in Singapore. They will ask you to pay the taxes based on the net tobacco weight.
Hi Hans, where in Europe is it best to buy cigars? I am Dutch, but visit Swiss, France, Belgium and Germany sometimes, I noticed that the prices vary quite big.
Hi Rody, my best guess would be Germany. You are right that prices vary and it always makes sense to shop around. If you are looking to buy Drew Estate or Oliva cigars, also check Cigars of Habanos - www.cohcigars.com/cigars-oliva and www.cohcigars.com/cigars-liga
I love visiting Taiwan. Perhaps we will run into each other at The Smoker's Inn someday. Since you are a fan of the tobacco leaf, I wonder if you are also a fan of the tea leaf. Taiwan has such good oolongs and red teas.
You could try the cigar lounge in the Sindhorn Kempinski Hotel or the cigar lounge in the Intercontinental Hotel. Cuban cigars are difficult to find these days. You may want to try a Liga Privada from Drew Estate or a Serie V Melanio from Oliva 😀👍
Wij zijn de sigaar. Wij zijn de sigaren van Agio. Lekker roken. Want we branden niet te snel. Onze mélange. Is tabak die we eraan hebben. Wij zijn de sigaar. Wij zijn de sigaar. Wij zijn de sigaren van Agio.
@@HansRijfkogel Nice, will definitely check it out… also do you know anywhere else that I could buy cigarillos like 7/11 perhaps? Or other convince stores like Tops
@@Beagodforlife In the past a small number of 7-11 shops sold cigarillos. I am not sure if they still do. I don't think Tops sells cigarillos. Personally, I would go to the cigar lounge in the Sky View Hotel or Grand Sheraton, they sell cigarillos from J.Cortes and have a nice range of handmade cigars from Oliva and Drew Estate.
I wish I could stop getting this company’s videos recommended, considering they use machines for rolling their cigars. I’ll never buy one, bad form in the cigar industry.
@@HansRijfkogel I’m not here to argue cimantics, Lord knows there are PLENTY of other premium cigars to choose from. Many of which are in my humidor. And I don’t have to play games with which ones are machine/hand rolled.
Ukrainian born Zino Davidof has plantations in that part of the world. Tobacco growing is labour intensive and people there are poorly paid but when its cigars hit Europe it's very expensive to buy . Some farmers are forced to grow tobacco because of dept like buying fertilisers and the price for tobacco is little above other crops. The locals should be paid a certain percentage of after sale and not before.
I'm a huge fan of the V, Melanio, and the Oliva G. I feel like I could spot an Oliva cigar in a blind tasting pretty easily. Their tobacco has a specific smell and taste that I can't get enough of. I have many brands in my humidor, but Oliva is by far my favorite. The price point and quality can't be beat in the industry. What do you think about the beautiful Cameroon wrapper on the Oliva G? One of my favorite cigars of all time
