Physiotherapists Runner @ 41yo 3x London Marathon finisher Marathon PB 2:56.35 Half-Marathon 1:20:46 Parkrun PB 17:46 6* Chaser Run form coach
2020 the pandemic introduced a new breed of runners🏃. I personally took up cycling🚴
As a physiotherapist I had helped many runners improve their form and help prevent injury😇
It was May 2021 which I helped my housemate analyse his running form and was then where I decided to take up running myself at the dear age of 41🧓.
What started as a weekly commitment of 20 minutes of running a week, has lead to running two London Marathons, meeting my running goals at 5k, 10k, half and full marathon, and having a passion to share my running experiences motivating others to place up also 😊
Thanks for watching and subscribing to my channel.
Omgg, well done!! 🥰. I’m usually at Burgess Parkrun but they never have pacers, currently trying so hard to break sub 25 myself. Does Mile End Parkrun regularly have pacers? If so, may have to go down their for a parkrun to hit my goal 😅
@@leahmcdermott4189 ive only done burgess once. Mile End have pacers every second Saturday of the month. There are hills though. Happy to do Burgess and pace you if keen. Whats your pb?
@@leahmcdermott4189 shall be busy this year, but if you do not hit sub 25 by Jan, we shall make it happen. Shall be good to see how you run and maybe improve your technique if need be
@@Khankhan-ud7kp sure. I have been busy lately and abroad so best check out their Facebook community as that is the best way to connect with London City Runners 👍
Thanks for having us along on a fun run. In Tasmania, we have an hour’s extra sleep and start the run at 9:00am - it’s colder down here! We have some beautiful Parkruns on the island. I love your contagious enthusiasm - it inspires me to be more interactive on my Parkruns.
Oh thx so much for the watch and encouragement. Yeah life in general is better with positive people. If we all encourage each other, how lovely will this be. Yes lucky you starting later. UK is 9am start too. Yes so encourage others. It did improve my running and simply makes it more enjoyable 😁👌👍
@@nicolawoodable hey Mark. Satisfied with the run. Didnt feel I had great race pace even with alphas. So took it easy.... For my slowest half yet. 1:24:15. But overall happy with the experience and seeing fellow runners like yourself along the way😁👍
@@matthewbrown9434 well you are young and with the right training can achieve anything. Big Half this weekend. I'll be pacing someone to pb sub 1:23 is the target
Nice video man!! I’ve come from your other video to check it out. 🤙🏽 I’m actually keen to do a half marathon or marathon soon! I forgot to mention in my comment the other day, I’m actually a soccer player for all age Div 1 team here in Sydney. I picked up running as a hobby to improve my fitness on the soccer field, and overall health and fitness. Now that the soccer season has ended I’m definitely going to be ramping up the running in the offseason! I’m still aiming to beat 30 minutes for that bay run that I mentioned, but very appreciative of your exercises for runners video here, I’m going to give it a crack. Everything helps!
Cheers mate. And well done. You can break it. If you are division 1 I expect you doing sub 20 5k. I met a guy who is faster than me and me mainly plays ultimate Frisbee. Fast frequent sprinting. Ramp up your weekly mileage. Add Parkrun in and some hill repeats and your smash the bay 👍👊
Great review mate! I’ve been getting into running recently. I run around a local bay here in Sydney which is a 6.77km run, and my current time is 32 minutes (trying to beat 30!) I use adios pro 3. My 5km on at the moment is 23 mins so very inspiring to see you do 5km in 17.47 mins! Going to work on it and hopefully can get close to your time I’m going to push harder next time!! Also, love the look of the wave rebellion pro v1, looks very nice and bouncy with good energy return
@@gabr131s9 hey firstly i really appreciate your time watching and commenting. I also ran my second Half Marathon with these and PB it. Then again it was only my second. That is the olympic park one. Go have a watch. Thanks of you do. I do wonder who watches my videos lol. Then a week later i pb again chasing 80! Failed my target but still watch the end. I was so surpassed i pb bc my watch was inaccurate. So these shoes are fast and my mate has got all his pb with them... However recently video Touching 80 i pb again!! And also was shy less then a minute of my pb at Boston Marathon! This which shoe? Yes adios Pro3. So you have the equipment. Work on your running form and technique. How to do more content on this. But also run more poorly to build base fitness. You can do easy runs and work on technique at the same time by feeling how you are running. You don't get a pb by running harder. But running smoother and more relaxed. That's why every pb is a surprise. Anyway, check those vids out. And thanks again 👍😉
@@Fizz_Runner haha all good man! Glad to hear you are enjoying those shoes and beating pb’s!! Yes the adidas adios pro 3 is a great shoe, I love how it compresses and springs me forward on each step, and also I bought it because I saw reviews saying it was more durable super-shoe compared to others! Good point about running easier and smooth, I think you are right! I’m needing to build better base fitness and just by getting out there and practicing, it will improve!
@@gabr131s9 yes technique and being relaxed is important. Anything beyond 1km needs good aerobic capacity. Yes love the adios pro3. Train with non carbon and at least on race day you have a psychological advantage. Fitness and ability is 95%. Allows are the 5%. Looking forward to hear you smash the bay
@@Fizz_Runner thanks man!! Good points I’ll make sure I also train in non-super shoes. I’ve also got adidas SL shoes and the endorphin speed 4, which are both good training shoes! Yepp will let you know how I go!!
@@navyvic is that at the valve? Was there any difficulty putting it in initially. If done properly it should be straight forward. Ie shouldn't have to fight to get the tyre in place. Make sure the tube is deflated fully and follow the video. Hence the tube will be out of the way👍👍. Let me know how you get on. Thx for watching
@@Fizz_Runner JI is the best 5K runner in the World RN. I’d like to see him do 5/10K double at a Global Championships. WTBS JI is good for the sport no matter which events he runs.
@@barnabyjamespackham6772 big congrats mate. You were finishing like a storm. Well done but honestly who you fooling. You are a way faster runner. Just need a flat course and training
@Fizz_Runner I was Google searching for NYC full marathon for training. To my lovely surprise, this popped up!! 🐿👍 Thanks for turning yr head to show me. I actually remember this section, cos there was a little rise towards the Tower Bridge... haha 😅
@@RichardWarn so cool. Glad. Google is funny as shorts usual get shown for a day. You doing new york. So hard to get in for this year. The QT was radiculous
@@RichardsAdventures thx Richard. Very satisfied with it. Would you consider running it again? What division would you join. Just ran a 24km easy solo in sun and I felt dead
