Yes, this is a horrible design. Another example of the engineers not using their own product. They replied to another comment about fishing around for the spring. It took me about 10 minutes but I found it and the knob slid out. Put the pin on your index finger like a ring and push it into the hole. I tried both of them and finally got it. Probably why they use an animation instead of the real thing.
Thank you for your feedback. Our team is aware of the lever/knob removal difficulty and we are working on a solution to improve the product and make removal easier. We will create a separate video walking through the lever/knob removal process.
I was unable to remove the rose. As mentioned in previous post, the pin doesn't push into anything. What a disappointing purchase. Returning the product tomorrow.
We are sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with removing the knob. To remove the knob from the spindle, the lockset must be in the unlocked position. Insert the provided pin into the hole and press until you feel the spring compress. You may need to fish around for it to find the spring. At the same time as holding the pin, then pull the knob off and then remove the pin. Please give our team a call if you're still experiencing issues at 866-LOCKPRO. We can walk you through it.
@@brinkscommercial5425 The same cut & paste response as the previous entry? As I explained in my initial comment, your suggestions from a previous customer didn't solve the problem. This was a disappointing experience and I will never waste my time and money on any brinks product again.

@@brinkscommercial5425Thank you for trying to help, but that didn’t work at all. Complete waste of time and money, now I have to return this product and try to find something that actually works.
Hello. On the side of the handle on the collar you will find a small hole that has a pin to release the lever. Use the push pin provided in the package to push the spring in and pull the lever off. template is a bit off, or probably my use of it 🤪 to accommodate the situation of stuff not fitting at step 5, I loosened steps 2 & 4 screws and then did the following: - attached closer body to L bracket & tightened item 10 screws - attached closer arm to P bracket without items 7, 8 & 9 - tightened step 2 & 4 screws - opened door and installed 7,8,9 screws and washers (must be last step to allow tightening center P bracket screw) closer works great! wife is happy! 😁
