The condensation never touches the heat exchanger. Thats the only myth you got wrong. Stainless is better than copper. Also non-condensing tankless does not fall under the energy efficient appliances so there will be no tax rebate or credit from gas supply company
Eric, I am a huge fan of Mechanical-Hub and the Build Show. I live in the Twin Cities and am planning to build a new home. I would like to get a list of your recommendations for builders who have the "Do it right" and building science attitude. I really like the stuff that I see from Extreme Panel folks but am looking for builders who have a similar ethos. Thanks David
Plummers love tankless cause they get one to three k install. Cant do urself voids warranty. They break annually so u call him again. Tankless plus install is two to six grand. Nightmare to fix, tank simple
You must have missed the part where I said you can do it without the app. Also Rinnai invented the tankless water heater, they tend to think of details you didn't
I bought 5 of these tekmar 294 controllers for the old “dumb” boilers at my multifamily properties. It’s a great unit that really saves us money and helps us from keeping the heat on longer than it needs to be.
Excellent video, thank you. Can the exhaust use my existing 3” schedule 40 PVC that my current (power vent) water heater uses? It goes from the basement to the side of the house. Thank you!
I’d suggest downloading the RX series manual. Check your existing PVC, it will have an ASTM designation, compare that to the approved venting listed in the manual.
Does everyone wear gloves when they use power tools? Cause no one at the hvac company I work at even other trades on jobs don’t wear them is it code everywhere else?🤣
I lovvvve these tankless water heaters its the best thing I ever did after years of replacing tank water heaters every 2-5 years. Unfortunate they no longer make the tank systems like they use to
