Welcome to Jerry's Guitar Bar. Most of the lessons here are acoustic guitar lessons, but you'll also find electric guitar lessons, and even a few bass guitar lessons. Grab your guitar, explore and enjoy!
Great job, but I hate the way you play an A chord. I have to look at it twice every time to make sure you aren't playing an A maj 7 or something else. LOLOL I guess we all have our idiosyncrasies. I often play my A by barring across the 3 strings with my index because I have huge hands.
@@JerrysGuitarBar I play A sus2 all the time. And other variations. I usually play my As with 3 fingers in a row, however even on songs where I bar the A notes, I can still lift off the B string and add other notes with my free fingers. Depends on the song how I end up playing it. Anyway thanks. For some reason I never ended up learning that one, though I played many songs from his first couple of albums.
Animals improved the riff and whole song and added that "shake it baby" at the end which i still haven't found what song they took that from. great lesson though thanks!
So many covers ! John Renbourn's sidekick and friend Bert Jansch, Nick Drake of course, Paul Simon who produced Jackson C. Frank's album, Sandy Denny, Martin Simpson, Laura Marlin, Janileigh Cohen... We could do, probably, a double or triple CD.
you can find the intro at many places, but then he offer like little twist, and tricks, that makes the huge difference! I've learn from other but for sure buy his version cuz he's always the best...
Thank you for this amazing demonstration and your tutorial has been hugely helpful. I'm trying to put everything together now and am just finding that the timing and pattern from the intro to the first verse is very tricky (seems like there is extra time before moving to the first D chord?). I'm guessing that this version is more true to the album rather than the regularity adjusted version in your previous tutorial? I also seems like the strumming pattern here for the G to C/D is slightly different than the tutorial maybe?
It's been a long time since I did this one but the play thru always matches the lesson. I wouldn't have done it differently. With that said. Dylan's timing in the early years can get weird. Follow your instincts would be my advice.
Thanks for this but I think that the chords for the start of the verses and not correct. The Am7 sounds more like it should be F and the 2nd G before the Fmaj7should be Em
Hi Jerry, this is great just what l have been looking for. The only thumb pick I have is very heavy. Any suggestions where I might purchase something lighter? Many thanks
