Based on my personal experience I'd say no it's all just RNG. Time you pull does seem to have a small effect as most RNG programming is based off clocks in some manner but can't really confirm things there.
I gotta assume that the luck is well better on tickets. I got 2 copies of Wilhelm off of tickets and I went one full round on the premium stepup, which I got dogshit from.
Will have to see, usually the tank / dps units are a little weak on 1 of the roles, but he is NV+ so waiting for that data mine. CoW tag for the OverDrive is probably going to be big for GL tho with how many units have that tag, even the JP units who only got leader skills changed so they can lead for CoW have CoW tags.
Receding Tide is a barrier for the party and 4 mirage stacks so could be an extra barrier but not doing anything to boss, if you mean Unpredictable Tide that only reduces atk/mag/def/spr buffs by 3 turns so would only effect the buffs from the lightning crystal and is only single target so not super useful for this trial as can only use once. Crashing Wave gives you 3 turns (counting the turn you cast) of perfect dispell thanks to the auto casting for 2 turns.
Could make Tide Bringer Kaito work, would need to use Crashing Wave turn 3 and turn 10 or 11, and use his base LB turn 8. Loose a little damage from 1% less break but well geared damage units should make that up.
Been too long since the last time I got a good video summon. Sophie banner i think. See people post in discord their luck and it reminds me how bad mine is lol.
My daily video summons usually all 5* and most the time when a NV shows up its one already EX3 so that was a nice surprise. I think last time video summon got me the new unit of the week was back during DQ collab.
Thank you for the advice. I even completed the challenges in the same number of turns as you for the most part. I used Lilith for my breaker because I do not have divine beast chow, and I used Melissa because I did not have Eithne. Thankfully a few guests had Eithne, so I brought them along each time.
Great video, I mostly follow it except I end up beating the boss by turn 3 or turn 4 each time, and all that I get is the single S Rank. I do not have all the gear and materia so I make subsitutions and I keep getting the S rank on level 99, I am trying to get the SSS rank but to no avail.
on a positive note, you are still able to come up with those nice clears on those challenge contents with the no-so-good pull, it is amazing already, keep it rolling my dude
Hey man, big thanks to this guide. Been mulling over doing these quests due to the setup needed to redo them again. This also helped me get some ideas how to use the new units. Made the whole 8th anniversary quest easier.
I have all the xenogears units to ex2. Debated if it was worth putting one or two of them in my fragment dungeon group to slowly get ex3, but i figured not since can't get dupes of them and if you are LUCKY and get 2 a day - thats 100 days for ex3. Currently run xon/celeste/force/eithne/new yuna.
I am so lucky.. just pull 1 step only on card banner still get 6 free coin & tickets so i can burn 28k lapis on eitne banner to get 1 pity copy of her...😊
Nice! video summons for me like to be mostly useless heh. I most likely would not have gone to pity (depending on who next unit is) if they didn't give out those tickets.
Haven't seen that myself but in the past have seen some crashes from not being able to claim some mail that has the resource you are trying to use, you end up showing you have it when you do not (the mail resets to not claimed). If you are not trying to get something from mail to do it what EX level are you trying to get?
That might work, will need a bit of adjustments tho, would need to have Mirei imbue party instead for any turn that FF did, and change chaining a little as Eithne base LB is 1 hit finisher and SLB is the EN chain. She does have an EN chain move in kit that could be used tho.
I think that was because they did the special 8th anni missions for those and needed to use the mission clear check for that (smaller dev team could also be the reason)
A 2024 comment - based on how slow I play this game... I had no flag bearer but I recommend either Thief of Tantalus Zidane (as leader), or primm with her grant 100% wind damage to malphasie - makes up dmg easy enough.
