I felt the same. I also experienced it in an audio expo and they looked and sounded great but I didn’t feel like I needed to upgrade my D3. Thanks for the comment!
Nice demo and great setup. I love my MA352 with a more modest pairing with Totem Signature One speakers and a chord Qutest DAC. I agree with the other comments that it is hard to show/record how good a system is in person.
No. I used to toe in but I found the toe-in made sound leaner in my room condition, which is not exactly balanced (open to right}. Thanks for the comment!
Thanks for the feedback! 803 D3 may not sound as groovy as other speaker brands, like Dynaudio or Sonus Faber. In fact, I have a pair of Dynaudio Contour 1.4 LE right beside of 803 D3, and they play punchier bass and sound darker than 803 D3. Also, iPad Pro doesn’t seem to capture all the characteristics of them. After your feedback, I moved them back closer to the wall for more mid range and bass reproduction. I will record another video clip with this setup soon!
Not bad at all. The damping facotor of the amp, unlike other McIntosh integrated amps, is more than 200, so it handles 803D3 without any power issue. My previous amp was ML 585, and I am satisfied with this new amp, especially for mid-bass reproduction.
