Looks like no-one is interested in learning better English. I find most subscribers to RU-vid are dullards who are more interestested in clicks and find it hard to put 2 word together. Their comments are usually unfathomable. You are trying to educate D- students. I admire your pluck and hope you success.
You also mspronounce Thesaurus. The is like thespian andsaurus is not like in dinosaurus but first part like in serial and the second part is like is in miss.
Fine try to explain the word. I have a great respect for the usage of a Thesaurus in learning more about words, their meaning and usage but have two provisos. 1. Using 'the' proper 2 centuries old printed word is non-negotiable. The original tome in modern form as issued by Longmans is a far cry from just giving synonyms of the word. ( l purposely do not ame this revered publication. There are any numbet of 'Thesauri' available but they fall far short in their efforts of replicating the original. 2. I also despair of teaching the correct pronunctiation of 'Thesaurus' which is so mangled by 9 0:29 9.9% of people. Just an aside. I am a poor English second language speaker who literally used up my first paperback copy of the hallowed tome and am now the proud owner of a hardcover edittion. If you really want to learn English, get a Thesaurus from Longmans in book form.
