I don't really follow Vox Machina. But this song speaks on a deep level simply as feminine empowerment. I grew up in the coastal mountains of California, and have traveled around the globe through rain, snow, wind, storm, across mountains and seas and forests and plains until eventually finding my home in the forests of upstate New York. This song speaks to that journey, and to the self-discovery that came with it.
OMG! That's so good. I can't stop listen that since yesterday. I have to use it at my Warhammer session, becouse one of my players worships Vaul - elven blacksmith god. Just thank you.
The way they tell the story is....good. But the MUSIC!!! Every time the movie begins its like someone is slowly pouring warm water on my head. Gah. I love the music so much! (Ok minus A Guy Like You. That one is dumb).
I'm about to start my path in a campaign as a bard from a mining town, that has been under the control of a tyrant that forces the blacksmiths the town is renowned for to make blades for his armies without rest. I'm on a journey to find the Fellsong, a lute -axe hybrid made by an ancient dwarven blacksmith, that can play a song that no other instrument can: one that can prevent anyone with evil in their hearts from attacking those the player consider my allies. I'm gonna have this song be a chant often sung by the people of my hometown, a rousing chorus that helps them thrive through the constant torment from the tyrant ruler.
Love this song. And it reminds me of something from a campaign I’m currently in. In it I’m playing a character who picked up smithing as an attempt to learn the culture of another land…fast forward SEVERAL sessions, and me and two others in the group are apprenticing under an ancient dragon posing as a dwarf teaching us forgotten forging techniques of ages past… Each of us has made a piece of equipment so legendary, it has no stats (yet). As we go, this legendary gear will evolve, gaining new abilities based on how it’s used. Our DM: Dangit! If you guys spend another session doing nothing but crafting I’m going to have something terrible happen to your smithing tools! This song speaks to me.
AND HERE I AM AGAIN, A YEAR AFTER I WATCHED THE LAST ONE SHOT AT THE MIGHTY NINE... It was wonderful, I'm thrilled, thanks to fate for introducing me to this wonderful cast and this story, thank you...
Paladin, battle with blade and shield with prayer on his lips singing out his strongest weapon.... This song is great and it makes me think if just how important Blacksmiths used to be.
this song perfectly represents Keyleth, she's a SUPER strong druid but is held back by her own misbelief in her abilities hence why she has bursts of power that amaze everyone, she's capable of them, she's just scared that she's not so she doesn't do it often.
As a blacksmith this would be awesome to listen to while work 1. it’s just straight up awesome 2.its catchy 3. it has a fantastic rhythm that you would strike steel with and keep a good pace with while forging something
I am currently playing a Fairy Fighter (PF1E) and i will quote this when we get around to getting new weapons, because he's a vengeful, spiteful little shit with anger mangement issues and a newfound taste for butchering people in combat on his path of vengeance.
