I finally was able to watch this on Prime two years ago when it 1st became available. The courage of the Warsaw residents and the resistance will never be forgotten. The Wola district massacre being one of the worst civilian atrocities committed by the Nazi's during the war. And if anyone believes in "the Phoenix has risen from the ashes"..look no further than Warsaw itself.
I am from Serbia,Germans attacked my coutry in 1915 in 1941 and in 1999 and they never stop,in one monastery in western Serbian there is a quote from 17th century it says: "those who are serbs and from Serbian origin be wise and don't trust Germans(Nemci)"
From the all occupated european nations only Poles and Serbs did not colaborated with Germany (GERMANY not "nazi", the whole Germany where nazi). Even Russians gave Germans significient support by almost 1 million solidiers RONA ("Russkaya Osvoboditelnaya Narodnaya Armia"). Btw, many of this cruel bandits commited terrible atrocities during Warsaw Upraising 44'.

@@filmsbynix Saving private Ryan was also realistic, but it have shown fiction. Warsaw 44' show that's, what's really happened. During Uprising my friend's mother, as a three months baby started cry in a basement of the building on Piwna Str. And because of this her father, my friend greendfather, couldn't left this basement, although he wanted to join the crowd, happy of the captured german tank. He stayed with his doughter, and then the "tank" exploded. You have seen this moment in the film... This is differend level of realizm.
