My order Cus I feel like putting them here. I’ll only be ranking 4 of the books Cus I have yet to read tower of Nero. 1. The Tyrant’s Tomb (angst. The ghoul situation, the internal self hatred, mentions of Zeus’s abuse AUGH I LOVE IT) 2. The Burning Maze (angst. We love angst here) 3. The hidden oracle (that one Hyacinthus scene AAAAAAA) 4. burning maze (it’s good but not THE BEST. We love Mama tho)
This would be my ranking 5. Son of Neptune 4. Mark of Athena 3. The Lost Hero 2. House of Hades 1. Blood of Olympus (Not saying their bad! This is just my opinion and they are all great!)
As moderator of r/camphalfblood I find it said that there are some people who cannot comprehend the diversity in this series. They had and critique things such as Magnus Chase and Trials of Apollo all because they cannot handle diverse non white characters. It really is sad in my opinion. I've seen and banned many people on my subreddit who bash and criticize the LGBT and POC communities
This season imo was insanely disappointing. They added a ton of unnecessary things they they should have kept, they changed the characters in bad ways, the pacing was the worst I've ever seen in any media, and the episodes were too short
This is good. I like your videos. I've literally not been able to stop watching Percy Jackson videos the past month, and this is the main channel I come to.
I haven't read Magnus Chase nor the Kane Chronicles yet (neither Chalice nor Sun and the Star) and I'm nearly done with TOA. I think my ranking so far would be.. 13. Burning Maze (I already disliked the Labyrinth so getting back there just bored me) 12. Battle of the Labyrinth (same as before, it just bored me) 11. Dark Prophecy (I literally don't remember anything that happened in this book) 10. Hidden Oracle (it was a good start but not the same?) 9. Sea of Monsters (it had its moments) 8. Son of Neptune (I was excited for Percy but I didn't like Frank and Hazel at first) 7. Lost Hero (I've had trouble with Jason's first chapters but I absolutely fell in love with the trio) 6. Lightning Thief (it's the very first book and deserves a decent spot. Of course other books are going to be better as Rick built onto this book but it's just solid already) 5. Titan's Curse (ugh it had so many amazing moments and introduced us to Nico) 4. House of Hades (this was the book that really moved everyone into the spotlight!) 3. Mark of Athena (Annabeth's quest was amazing and I just love the Argo crew!) 2. Blood of Olympus (Unpopular opinion, the Tartarus scenes bored me even though I love Percabeth. But I really loved the finale) 1. Last Olympian (I literally loved EVERYTHING about this book. I swear it was too epic) And if I had to rank the book series it wouldn't be any less surprising but.. 1. HoO 2. PJO 3. TOA (which is weird because I love Apollo so I was looking forward to that one the most)
To me, Magnus Chase is the worst one, mostly due to the missed opportunity to really showcase Norse Mythology. As a Norseman, I was really looking forward to those books, as Riordan had proven to be extremely knowledgable about various mythologies, so I was hoping he knew more about Norse myth then the common Marvel version most people think of. But not only did he fall into the common misconceptions every non-norseman do, basically the Marvel version, but the books barely covered 20% of Norse Mythology. Such a disappointment.
Love the Riordanverse. My ranking would be: 1) Pjo/kc (love them both far too much to choose) 2) toa 3) mctga 4) hoo (upopular opinion ik, but it wasn't my cup of tea)
For me it would be: HoO (I love every character) PJO (Percabeth and Luke where great) KC (I'm a simp for Anubis and magic 😂 ) MC (I love Alex and Jack is funny) I havn't completely read ToA yet but I listened to the first three (ig) audio books and really didn't enjoyed them. But I was also yung and will give the series a new chance soon
I liked the ranking, but I disagree with some of it. My list is: 18. Sea of Monsters - Underwhelming 17. Hidden Oracle - A fine introduction to my least favorite riordanverse series 16. Tyrant's Tomb - It had its moments 15. Dark Prophecy - I loved bringing back the old characters 14. Son of Neptune - A standard Percy adventure with new characters 13. Sword of Summer - The book that got me into the Riordanverse (For some reason I didn't start with PJO) 12. Burning Maze - That one moment (You know what I'm talking about) made it a lot better 11. Tower of Nero - A satisfying finale 10. Titan's Curse - A good Percy adventure 9. Hammer of Thor - A cool continuation of the story with great new additions 8. Lost Hero - A great book that justifies its lack of Percy 7. Blood of Olympus - A very good finale, nothing bad, nothing amazing 6. Lightning Thief - The book that started it all 5. House of Hades - Probably the best-written book in the Riordanverse, but not the one I enjoyed the most 4. Battle of the Labyrinth - A great story all around 3. Last Olympian - An amazing book with some of the best moments in the Riordanverse 2. Mark of Athena - My favorite book in the Heroes of Olympus (Mostly because of Percabeth) 1. Ship of the Dead - My favorite book
Dont worry about it, it took me a while to figure out how to rank each and every book! Im glad Heroes of Olympus made it to the top, its the best series hands down!
it’s not even close for me, I loved Percy Jackson but Heroes of Olympus is what made me become obsessed. I could read the mark of Athena and house of hades 100 times and never get tired of them.
I see I’m not the only one who isn’t the biggest fan of Red Pyramid. Even though I like KC overall I just wasn’t a huge fan of the start stop first 100 pages. Also, finally someone else who defends The Lost Hero! And yes, despite its flaws Tyrants Tomb is really carried by its character work.
Ikr, Red Pyramid is solid, but like it also kinda average lmao. And yes, Lost Hero is an underrated gem, just re-read parts of it recently, still nostalgic! 👌
Unrelated but after rereading the Percy Jackson series, HOO and TOA, ive been reminded how much I desperately want to see Zeus get violently dethroned Uranus/Kronos style. I genuinely hate that man with all my being. He’s an awful husband (not saying this justifies Hera taking out her rage on the kids or the women; they’re victims too), heavily implied to be an abusive father and is a god awful king. Genuinely, his time has passed. Get him to regurgitate Metis (because apparently her and Zeus’ hypothetical son would overthrow him) and let’s get this show on the road
@@ThatPJOGuy Yh I mean theres some… sketchy stuff even in the Iliad (not pjo but I feel like it’s canon adjacent). There’s a reason why Zeus’ A+ Parenting is an ao3 tag
