MyLoveOfRailways, main line railways, preserved railways, model railways!
Railways, be it modern day, preserved railways, or model railways, they all hold an attraction for me. Of course, my real main interest is videoing and photography so I will shoot anything that takes my interest! Please browse my channel, I hope there is something there that takes your fancy, and if so, please click on like, or leave a comment.
Some of my railway videos and many of my pictures can also be found on my web site at www.MyLoveOfRailways.weebly.com or www.RailwayGallery.weebly.com (or click the 'W' link below). Please feel free to visit me there as these sites are built and expanded.
Respectfully, O gauge 2 rail is the ONLY way to go if one has the space and dollars. Thanks for this video It's wonderful and does not adequately describe my feelings...
Interesting - with the closure of the power stations is there any East West freight to be seen at Retford ? Does anybody know if Clarborough tunnel can take containers ?
Sadly the east-west route at Retford, once a busy freight route now sees no regular freight trains at all. It seems the only diesel-haled trains are the seasonal railhead treatment trains.
I would love to own and live in a disused station building next to an active and busy line, with my own private platform an just sit there watching all day long
I spent 30 years of my life driving mainly freight loco’s on the WCML. I did a short stint on passenger work but went back to freight after only 4 years! In that time I signed over 20 different types of traction and had an extensive route card. I can honestly say I NEVER detested a loco as much as I hated the class 70! If you started me off on the why question I would be here all day but give me a 66 over a 70 every F#£(i%g time!
The Class 67 locomotives are a class of Bo-Bo diesel-electric locomotives that were built for the English Welsh & Scottish Railway between 1999 and 2000 by Alstom at Meinfesa in Valencia, Spain with drive components from General Motors' Electro-Motive Division. EMD's designation for this locomotive type is JT42HW-HS. Wikipedia

The class 140-144 pacer trains 🚂 🚆 🚊 were previously used in Scotland 🏴, Wales 🏴, southwest and the north of England 🏴. All of the pacer trains 🚂 🚆 🚊 are standard class accommodation only, have uncomfortable 😳 seats 💺 💺 💺 , a toilet 🚽 🚻 in the DMSL - Driving Motor Standard Lavatory 🚻 🚽 , luggage 🧳 rack, no smoking 🚭 accommodation, bins 🗑️ provided and are nodding donkey 🫏 bone 🦴 shaker trains 🚊. The last time that the pacer trains 🚆 were used was the 2 car class 143 pacers on Saturday 31st May 2021. Plenty of the pacer trains have gone to the scrapyard and most of them are used for preserved railways 🚃 🚆 in England 🏴. All the class 140-144 pacer trains aren’t part of BR - British 🇬🇧 Rail 🚊 🚆 🚃 🚂 anymore. In the class 140-144 pacer trains 🚊 feel cold 🥶 is because there is plenty of gaps through the passenger doors 🚪, however it’s not asa cold 🥶 as outside. The pacer trains 🚂 🚊 🚆 are nodding donkey 🫏 bone 🦴 shaker trains 🚊. I honestly have been on the 2 car class 142 and 143 pacer trains 🚊 in the southwest of England 🏴. Don’t worry 😉 about any of the pacer trains 🚆 is because they won’t be coming back again is part of BR - British 🇬🇧 Rail 🚊 🚂 🚃 🚆 anymore and it’s water 💦 under the bloody bridge 🌉. The gangway on the pacer trains 🚆 🚂 🚊 are within unit. 👍
Thank`s for posting your layout,, i have the same loco with the GWR rail coach which runs around the garden ,,,may i ask ,what sound chip have you fitted ?
Superb to drive. Comfortable, quiet (inside) and draught free! Haulage wise they will pull a mountain down. No complaints from me and pretty dam close to what a 60 will haul. Just a little quicker! JG.
