Did you wiring harness wire colors match the stock harness color that you spliced into? I noticed mine don't match directly and I'm nervous cutting them and crimping them and they aren't the right pins.
🤣🤣🤣 at least it wasn't a thriller. Had no idea how the locks actually worked once they were fixed. It took a couple months to figure them out. This video was done to help others with sprinters to check the control module under seat instead of replacing all actuators. I bought the van and none of them worked and could not find anything until I found a sprinter forum
2 years ago there were no directions. Troll something make sure it's current 🤦♂️ you obviously can not listen to what I said in the beginning how nobody had anything on getting them opened
I have no idea what you mean by carry. I'm not a mechanic nor do I claim to be. Pretty sure since they are bolts that really can't carry squat. Not having hands and all
Not the correct way of removing the bottom cover. There is a hole under the bottom, poke it and it will release the clip inside and the cover comes off with no effort.
Figured that out. However when this video was made there were zero videos on properly opening it. Both require effort 🤷♂️ Same smell, different odor. Both work so keep on trolling to find videos you can comment on buddy
@@qfina how bout you just not watch it then if you think you're gonna break the remote by simply popping it loose 🤦♂️ love to see you do that next to impossible feat
None of the locks worked by the remote when I got it. I had to physically walk around to each door and lock with key. At first just thought fob needed programming till I saw a video on the central locking button on dash that lights red when doors are locked, blinks when door open. That switch did nothing so I then started digging into fuses and found the central locking module under driver seat. Found one on ebay so $14 gamble I tried it and then everything worked. I did have to shut off auto locking which also started working but was highly annoying to me
Those tools remove factory radios. Aftermarket receivers do not require these tools however some use a different tool to release the clip that holds them in.
How bout you buy a vehicle where none of your power locks work at all and you have to go completely around the vehicle locking each door with key. Get pricing for every actuator which is 4 total at $300+ for each then you have the burden of installing each actuator replacing them and still find that not a single one works because it was all from a part underneath drivers seat that cost $15 to buy and saved you at least $1200. Then and maybe then you might realize how big a fukin deal it is.
thank you for the video. Once you installed the new radio did you still have the removal slots that the original radio had , just in case you needed to slide the radio out again ?
Ok I have this happen every now and again. One of your locks is catching and not able to engage so it resets itself unlocking. I have to go with the key and lock then unlock each door then remote lock works again. Got mine narrowed down to sliding door that gets hung
Thank you for this video. I'm trying to upgrade my 05 sprinter radio. Do you know if they make one that fits an 05 that would have wireless camera capability ?
Check with Crutchfield. They can tell you exactly what radios fit any vehicle. I happened to luck out that radio I put in my '99 E-150 was same depth but it is tight and takes some work pushing wires around and out the way
@@patricktrammell7663 They have a Jensen Car910x that says it fits. I'm not sure though if you can play a wifi (not wireless, but wifi that currently plays through my ipad) backup camera through these radios or if they have to have a hard connection through AV cable
@@georgepotter353 Jenson is a brand that I will never use. They are cheap for a reason. Not sure about the wifi and Bluetooth stuff. Not into that. I'm barely graduated into new tech so I'm good with my USB thumb drive or MP3 player into auxiliary port. As far as cameras go only one I use is TomTom Bandit on dash cuz of idiot drivers.
Don't think you can buy this radio anymore. I originally got it for my 3000GT then upgraded that radio transferring this one to my E150 cargo van now moved it to my sprinter. But you can search Kenwood model # KDC-255U
The harness connects directly to the factory plug. Since every radio is different you use the adapter from new radio and splice the wires together. If you notice the big clump of clear cone looking crimp on connectors that is where the wires meet. They are pretty good at being color coordinated so basically just match colors and tie them together
Yes. Combination of wind and range along with my inexperience of using it she ran free and crash landed. Recovered it and it still works just gotta do a little tweaking on the motors
Did u break the drone ? I am going to buy a drone. Do you recommend this one Amazon has it for only sixty bucks. It would be my first drone. Or do you recommend I spend more money and get a better one . Ray
For only $60 it is great to get familiar with. This one does not like wind at all so makes it tricky getting control down. I used it at my brothers and it got caught up in the jet stream and took off. The range is not very far which sent it over trees and it ended up landing in creek upside down but not in water. Unfortunately after swapping battery I took off and it immediately went full speed ahead right into tree limb and plopped in the creek. I will say it continued to work and still does. Even after I drowned it. I do believe when it crash landed first time that it messed up sumpin causing it to take straight off forward at full speed. But again only $60 so not devastated over it and will get time to fix it. So yes I do recommend it especially to learn with. Camera has to go straight to phone not an SD card. Up and down camera angle is manual positioned only and there is no hover you just gotta work up and down to maintain hover
Thank you for this excellent video I popped out mine in minutes. Bought an excellent unit from Crutchfield with Bluetooth. I removed the dash cover for the speedo and the left hand pillar cover and snaked the microphone wire over to the new radio. everything fit perfectly and there are no visible wires .
Started to notice Walmart is not carrying some items anymore. Or one wont but another 3 miles away does. Drives me nuts. But here is a set that will pull out any radio you can come across www.amazon.com/HFS-Professional-Automotive-Stereo-Removal/dp/B07HK2XFZS/ref=mp_s_a_1_5?dchild=1&keywords=car+radio+removal+tool&qid=1592721066&sprefix=car+radio+re&sr=8-5
Alex, I can personally tell you it turned out GREAT!!! Before Patrick did this work, the bike's top speed kept going lower n lower. I noticed it at 138mph, just went down from there. I can tell you it turned out great because...well, its my bike here he's working on!!! He is no mechainc like he says but...he's the ONLY PERSON in the WORLD I'd trust to tear my bike apart!!! I trust him 100%!!!
Matthew, I was trying to write like a buzzer sound and say thanks for playing but...lol. Anyways...no leaks!! Lol... Patrick is amazing at fixing EVERYthing and he's very creative at doing ANYthing else you could possibly throw at him!!
Fukin trolls 🤣 just cuz they do shit work they think everyone does. Yeah I really suck at seeing these messages to respond but prior 128mph it would start loosing power. After I got 181 on the dash so most certainly was an improvement and no there were no leaks.
Glad I could get her running for you again Don even though it took you how many years to get me to work on it 🤣 working on my own is one thing but the responsibility of someone else's especially the way we ride was hard to convince me to take. She still running great?
Some walmarts have stopped carrying them but here is a set that will pull any radio www.amazon.com/HFS-Professional-Automotive-Stereo-Removal/dp/B07HK2XFZS/ref=mp_s_a_1_5?dchild=1&keywords=car+radio+removal+tool&qid=1592721066&sprefix=car+radio+re&sr=8-5
