First it was the Fuel Pump, bad design and they made an upgrade after I spent $3,000 replacing them. The upgrade another $3,000.oo Now it is the Injector Pump $6,000.oo!! The whole Generator was $23,000.oo. They nail you on the parts!! Oil change $ 1,500.oo and up. I am an elderly homeowner on Social Security!! Fuel $ 5.oo a gallon!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!! In standby mode Pressure show **** and Temperature show ****. But when it run all perimeters show okay. How I can fix this issue? Gep165-2 Olympian Gen.
Its not a issue when it's off mode ECM goes to sleep mode after some times then you will show only **** instead of reading once you try to start will get all reading properly and genset get to run everything fine
Hi am Haizel I have a problem with a caterpillar 500 kva when genset is idle for one week and you go to start engine will turn but will not start but when you use the hand pump to prime it will start please advise
Patrick. I just purchased a used Olympian G15U3S unit that has been down since 2016. I put a battery on the unit and the display works. I am trying to figure out why the unit went down but I have to down load the manual for it to read any codes. I know the unit was LP operated engine but I would prefer switching the engine to diesel. What type of engine would I need to get this operating on diesel? I'm waiting to here back from Cashman on the info as well. Thanks for your post~!

Why would I get the overspeed warning and non start when it does its weekly test? It has been doing it ever since I changed the lift pump which was defective when it was delivered 5 years ago.
