I miss Media Play. Mine closed around 2003ish when I was 8 so I only really recall about four years of shopping there with my parents. I'll never forget the big Goosebumps (The Haunted Mask) picture they had over the book section and learning about the Dreamcast for the first time
Their merchandise was no more upscale than any regional department store because their locations were in mid market areas that were over competed for with Saks, Nordstrom, Bloomingdales, and Macys.
