Awesome job, Damian. John is great to listen to and you brought out a lot from him. Also, I watched your SAS training which was analyzed by SEAL Jake Zweig. It's safe to say you are one of the toughest dudes on the planet. Wow that selection is insane. Cheers from 🇺🇸
Damian - Great interview and it spurred me look into attending one of John’s classes. As such, I’ll be taking one of his rifle classes next week. I’m very much looking forward to how it, especially given just how pedagogically different/unique his instruction is relative to mainstream firearm training.
@@damianporterhighperformanc2188 I will send you an email on your YT page. This is going to be an interesting class for me because am bringing my SCAR 20 (308) and don't have much experience with upright shooting with it (or in general for that matter - mostly prone and bench/rested etc). Now I am a big guy (6'6 275) and so raising it to the firing position is no problem for me (plus a sling helps too), but understanding the mechanical breakdown of proper stance, rifle alignment with body etc is going to be very interesting. Funny thing is, when I have shot normal 16" carbines, I feel all bunched up given my long arms and so the 20" platform feels more comfortable. Regardless, it should be great! Thanks
Why then in his 34th year then is this country in such a disgusting state? Why is the average vulnerable in the community being degraded by overreaching govt? Why have the army and police not protected their own communities in NZ? What even is a national security risk when average peeole are put on this list and harassed and abused for no good reason? Why do the counter intel agencies work together to not find actual criminals and set up others that arent criminaks in order to persecute them for years in order to try and find something to pin on them? Why do we have people overseas reporting on the concerns the average NZ person has when the main stream media dont report? Why has this country had an influx in immigrants and are pushing NZs out of their homes and businesses, with the help if their gang thugs? Whats the point of people even asking questions when its just an information gathering tool to further track and surveille and harass people that pose as a potential threat to the fraudulent political agenda? Why are the men in this country so weak they just want to create a blog and drip feed the probkems with their opinion, rather than actually getting in and helping their community? No one wants to help actual survivors, theyre ignored. Feel free to answer these questions because others dont bother as it puts them at risk?
SAS are the Grandfarther of ALL Special Forces worldwide, they advised on how to train Delta... they did the same with Australia, newzeland, seals, french special forces and the list goes on, if you want to create a team of real legit killing badasses you go to the SAS, those guys were deep behind enemy lines during WW2 before anyone even knew what 'special forces' was, of course the others are great and cool af in their own right but come on... the SAS take it.

Cottier was one of out PTI's at 2/1, only complaint was that there was not enough battle PT. I weighed 78kg, and I could do the entire con course in FSMO with the Gympy by myself, I used to love approaching the six foot wall with the gympy in one hand looking at PTI's and their doubtful looks...... and then hearing "well done gunner....well done" after easily getting over...and the same with the firemans pole, gympy in one hand, no sling, keeping it out of the water. Rehab and physio was absolute shit, I badly sprained an ankle on the 189, I got voltaren, was on LD's for a few weeks, 10yrs later and out of the Army I sprained that same ankle badly again, got xrays.... turns out I had fractured my ankle on the 189, there was quite a big bone chip visible on the xray and they said it was quite old. Army solution was a tube of voltaren gel, didn't even get xrayed even though I needed crutches for a while.

We were in V Coy together but I can't seem to remember you and I'm thinking maybe it's because I came back into Vcoy from the Assault Pioneers and missed your intake coming in. Who did you come in with? Westgate, Wakefield, or Rodgers and Paniora?

@@damianporterhighperformanc2188 That would have put you up at Gate Pa. I'm guessing you came in with the TF and then stayed or join RF? I left after two tours (1&4) and then tried to get to Afghanistan with the TF but only got offered the Solomon. I was on the border at BL (4pl) and spent a few days up at Gate Pa looking after your pad while you guy's might have been on a Platoon patrol? Keep up the good work, I'll put that link, if I haven't already.
Jeff is such an amazing guy and very inspiring to listen to. Been doing his programs and they are definently next level. You wont get off easy, but the results are amazing :) Cheers!
Yes, wow! Why is it that an infantry unit has spent longer than a week in the bush? Is resources, is it laziness, is catering to a weaker youth or what? I have notice this with youth sports teams. Like you both said, we are letting down this generation by allowing the youth to be weak. Not my kid's, not on my watch. ♦️
@@damianporterhighperformanc2188Basic compassion. Doesn't require any kind of background. Just empathy. Something she (and judging from your response) and you both lack. No need for further explanation.
