I love this song soo much. I don’t know why and at the same time I do. So much of me and so much of this song connect. I feel free listening to it every time. It’s a song I have always deeply appreciated. Back in 2006 I met Jason Webley once and only once. What a nice fellow. Very genuine and completely uninhibited. I will always remember that. I hope he’s doing ok and still making music because I enjoy all of it. :)
I don't know how I ended here, and I swear I don't know why I remember this whole song. I can't remember why the heck I memorized it or how it got into my life. And it looks like I've already liked this video God only knows how long ago. It's almost unsettling.
I'm currently listening to Live at Bear Creek and enjoying reminiscing about our shows together all those years ago. I feel very lucky to have been alive at the right time to have Jason's music.
🫀🫁 "Take out my heart and hold it up to where I can see it". Thank you for the gift you've brought to so many! Your vision, your effort, your craft ~ illuminate the sometimes dark road with wisdom, meaning, and beauty. A map to a place where many may find respite. This is your heart! Unique, loving, and beautiful for its scars 🙃❤
As an Everett native who’s always felt a huge relation to Margaret, how did I not know about this??? I’d love to see a recording of this show if it’s available?
As someone who attended the original tour and bought the album onsite, I've got to say, I really wish they'd make this story public by releasing a recording of one of the shows, or at least Jason and Chicken John's story... It's so beautiful! More people should have the experience!
@@indiemacabre9777 the digital album is on Bandcamp. Unfortunately the physical book and CD is sold out. I saw Webley before the pandemic, so maybe late 2016 or 2018. He performed Margaret, and gave an explanation of the song before hand. So if you happen to be somewhere he's touring, that's an option. My best friend and I smoked cigarettes at the time, so after the show we hung out and had a beer with other smokers in the smoking area outside the venue. Jason came out and talked to everyone, and then took out his guitar and played several songs. So if you can attend one of his shows, I recommend hanging around to see if he hangs around too. If he does, or even if you talk to him in the merch line, I'm confident he'll share at least a little bit more about Margaret's story and the project.
Oh gosh i remember finding this way back when I was a young almost teenager and i only JUST NOW remembered it out of the blue! I'm so glad this historic piece of the internet is still up after so many years!
