The part I primarily have trouble with is the verse that says: "The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance." The trouble is that the longer he prolongs the promise, the more people fall from faith. All are NOT coming to repentance, but MANY ARE perishing. With each passing generation there are fewer people who cling to Christ's TRUE Teachings even as more people SAY they are "christian". He is not winning more souls by prolonging this, but is losing more, especially as the world population expands into higher and higher billions of people. This world is becoming more wicked by the day. I just don't see how God can possibly wish for "all" to "come to repentance". That's just not gonna happen.
Thank you for your faithfulness to the Lord. It's evident in your preaching this sermon. May the Holy Spirit convict us when our hearts become like the Ephesians.
One Gospel: Gospel of Reconciliation. Jesus Christ came into THEIR kingdom to reconcile fallen angels unto Himself. We are the fallen angels (ELOHIM) kept in DNA chains of darkness. If you do not confess being a fallen angel in Lucifer's kingdom, then you are an unbeliever. Unbeliever = those that claim to be made in the image of ELOHIM(gods). REPENT FALLEN ANGELS.
I’m no longer a believer. However, I am filled with admiration and respect for this treatment of the passage. It is intellectually sound and honest. But far more importantly, it’s morally sure footed, and filled with the compassion of the Christ character, with the subtlety of vision illuminated by grace.
