Im looking for a 1960 diamond edition white coupe de ville, blue upholstery, blue dash. Prefer flat top 60series but not required. All power interior w/ac . Negotiate finance. Wish to drive most weekends.
Heck yeah! Thanks for saving it! That’s the type of car you can pick away at when you have time and the funds and still drive and enjoy it. Once you work the bugs out they’re very reliable. With a little tlc I even got my original ac working great. 🤙🏽
my first car was a 1970 dodge dart swinger rolling shell. i bought it in 2010 at 15, for $750, with the promise that i could go through the guys junkyard and get the parts i needed....all the parts sucked. i still have it at 29 years old. its got a big block 400, 4 speed, and a 8 3/4 rear. still not on the road, sadly.
Its cool. I wouldn't want to daily that in Socal lol. The gas was almost 7 dollars a gallon in summer. I get about 14 city and 17 freeway with my Challenger. It gets old having to run premium.
I stole one just like it, 40 years ago when I was a teenager. It was black with blue interior. I didn't get caught with it, but a few days after I took it, I was gonna take it for a spin and when I got to where I had parked it I saw it being towed away. Definitely NOT the smartest thing I've ever done, but I was young and trying to impress my friends.
Love those cars man I wish I still had mine they are really hard to find anymore and that thing looks solid and the interior is good to lol I live in Charleston WV lol
In high school and college I had a 72 leSabre. The smartest thing i did in that car was to wear both the lap and shoulder belts. They probably saved my life in a head on collision with a drunk driver who hit me head on. Do yourself a favor and buckle up.
Nice car my man, my daily driver is a 73 Regal that was just about in the same condition. the parts are surprisingly easy to find. Good luck I'll be following this one.
My dad inherited a '57 Fairlane from his grandpa in 1965. It was a 2-door hard top with a 312 and 3 on the tree. All black, and it had the back-up lights like yours. He sold it in about 1967 for $150. Love the music on this video.
This reminds me of my dad's 3 1958 EDSELS, HE THOUGHT BY STORING THEM IN A HUGE POTATO CELLULAR THEY'D BE SAFE, FROM THE ELEMENTS, BOY WAS HE WRONG, WHEN WE GOT EM OUT TO START AND RUN THEM, NONE OF THEM STARTED, COME TO FIND OUT WE HAD TO PULL THEM TO START, THEY'RE (ALL AUTOMATIC), WHEN WE GOT EM STARTED, THE EXHAUST MANIFOLDS WERE CHERRY RED, MICE HAD STUFFED THEIR NEST INSIDE AND CLOGGED UP THE EXHAUST SYSTEM. 👌✌️👍
The 1st time the car drove was 1960. How long has it been sitting? Are you trying to run it on bad gas?? Did you change the oil??? Fill the radiator?? Didnt see any of this if you did....
I had a white 1960 Cadillac 4 door flattop in 1984. It looked OK but ran poorly. The AT was grinding in reverse when I sold it. I notice yours is slipping. Nice find nevertheless!
