@@stealth5758 It's not necessarily repairing itself. Wouldn't this unconscious processing still be present in people who have a working visual cortex? Theoretically speaking, if we could isolate the piece of the brain responsible for the subjective experience of sight, it's possible you could still have the full processing depth as somebody who experiences sight. I feel like there's no reason we couldn't be experienceless robots, so how much processing is truly fundamental with this experience?
