Wake from your sleep The drying of your tears Today we escape, we escape Pack and get dressed Before your father hears us Before all hell breaks loose Breathe, keep breathing Don't lose your nerve Breathe, keep breathing I can't do this alone Sing us a song A song to keep us warm There's such a chill Such a chill And you can laugh a spineless laugh We hope your rules and wisdom choke you Now we are one in everlasting peace We hope that you choke, that you choke We hope that you choke That you choke We hope that you choke That you choke
How much is this sped up? This should sound very familiar to anyone that grew up in or lived in the New York City metropolitan area in the late 80s and listened to Power 95 radio during that time.
this song gives me SO much childhood nostalgia. me and my family have loved this song for years and years. we used to dance to this at parties and sing it whenever it came on. I still love it because of the nostalgia 😭🫶
oooh this song makes me so happy and nostalgic that you wouldnt understand! I remember my mom used to go to the gym and she would leave me in this daycare with a bunch of other kids, and my sister would stay by me. This song WOULD ALWAYS play. I remember one time I was crying and playing with a furby in the daycare place, but when I heard this song I just had to dance :) This song always lifts my mood.
